Just MJK's worksheet. Time to play. Oh yeah, car quit on me last night, so i was thinking the audio fun time had just ended. Wife got it to start, so as a reward, i showed her a picture of the Emerald Physics CS2.3 an dasked if she would like them for her effirts:rofl:

Hi Melon Head,

Yeah, the idea is to perhaps rebuild OB's since I've made Mishmash with them trying different things. Then I could perhaps try a set of narrow wings (with piano hinges). Maybe transparent wings made of plexiglass? Just an idea..

On the other hand, since you have already tried various Open Baffle combinations, I would beg you to try one more, if you have the time and willingness (and because I can't 🙁 ).
So, try to build a baffle like Nelson Pass Slot Loaded Open Baffle, albeit smaller (say 60 cm wide 120-130 cm high). Use two AN15's in a slot loaded configuration, and AN10's on top of a baffle. I'be very curious to find out how this sounds...

I also bought a stack of 12s and 10s to try in slot loaded open baffle

so, so true.

But they have phase issues also (and don't get me started on the whizzer).
I stopped following this thread quite a while back, so I know that this comment is coming a little late. But I just thought I would mention that I got the opportunity to test the speakers I built with the Tang band W5-1611 drivers a few weeks ago, and the phase response was absolutely beautiful - effectively ruler flat throughout its usable range. 😎

Sorry, we can get back to talking about monster fullrangers again!

I just wanted to chime in here.
you would need to raise the Qts of the Seas driver
to somewhere like 65 Qts to get really good bass out of it
you could add a 15 or 20 ohm 10 watt resistor inline of the +
of the seas that would bump your bass quiet a bit.
maybe 5 ohm for AN15.
here is a good Qts calculator

I am not much of a fan of that sought of thing. I would rather add woofers for compensation, or just EQ it flat to 40Hz using a DEQ
