I think your reasoning is sound. i would get the 12v, you can lower the voltage much easier and it will work at 12V anyway.
Can you share a link to the 12v PSU you found? Thanks!I think I have managed to source a couple of bipolar supplies. One is a +/- 9V 2.7A supply and the other is a +/-12V 2.0A supply. These look like they should work. Leaning towards the 12V supply as it operates at lower A and I am thinking that it is easier to drop V a bit if necessary, rather than trying to increase the V. Cheap enough that it saves me the hassle of sourcing parts and assembling. Any comments on which of the above supplies would be better suited for use with the transistor matcher?
Hi bloqhed, They are at the antek site, under power supplies. I just received 2 transformers for my Alpha Nirvana and the 12V power supply, which really outputs 11V, so should work great.

That's great thanks, I didn't even think to look at PSU's at antek. With my variac I'll be able to dial the voltage in just right.
Now I need to do some reading and figure out how exactly to use this matching jig 😆

How does everyone swap the transistors out, do you hot swap them or switch the tester off then swap?
Folks,
My IPS Boards are V 3.8. In the notes to the BOM I see an addition of two diodes D13 and D14 were made late in 2022. Checking my boards I see where they go. But the BOM does not list them. Can you tell me the part numbers? Are they 1N914/1N4148s or something else? Shouldn't they be added to the BOM? Or am I missing something (as usual).
Many thanks,
John

Isn't this regarding the Wolverine Amplifier build???Folks,

Yes - either. They've been added to the latest BOM, which further states 'Any 250mW+ device with 0.6V drop'Are they 1N914/1N4148s or something else? Shouldn't they be added to the BOM? Or am I missing something (as usual).
Many thanks,
