Matching pot impedance to amp input

Is -3dB at 16Hz good or bad? Any high frequency rolloff?
Where did you find the -3dB @ 16 Hz? Onkyo claims DC-150 KHz.
The input is a differential JFET and there is nothing to roll off the LF
response in the input or feedback loop UNLESS you set the 3 position
LF cutoff swith to 10 Hz. Normal setting is 0.15Hz. The only questionable
thing is the DC input reference is the wiper of the 100k input level pot. If
that pot gets dirty things could get ugly. System gain is 25.5dB meaning
the passive preamp level pot won't have much if any headroom. A 6-10 db
amp would likely be sufficient.

The service manual is at HiFi Engine.

Now I am running into the opposite problem. I found a BGW 250D for half the price, but its input impedance is 15K! Also, the manual for the IVH states thats its passive output impedance is "around" 1K!

Now, I have no idea what this amp actually sounds like. One guy claims it sounds like a tube amp! The TIM measurement is virtually the same for both amps.
