I'm running out of ideas on mine now... well I may try a different output lol
What I am looking at is having a custom front to the player. Maybe some nicely crafted wood or Acrylic. Keep is simple with minimal buttons.
So if anyone knows of some nice case sites I could browse through for ideas or custom built work I would be grateful
cheers

How about modular boards for each stage eg servo, Rf amp, etc.?
Andy
You could rebuild it inside a Bush TR82 (my mum still has an original).
Reciva Internet Radio Configuration: Turning a 1960's Bush TR 82 into a Reciva Internet Radio
The tuning dial could be converted into a magnetic puck.

I could but there is soooo much it would be a nightmare to do now + I can't be without it for long otherwise I get the shakes.

That's really cool but the tinny unpleasant sound coming from the nice old radio would confuse people! lol

All the cases I have seen have been for top-loaders based on the CDMpro.
None for front loaders.

Guys,
based on my last picture, any benefit on fitting the larger clamp on my CD-x3.?
I've played of wire cutters, caps linking headphone section, muting transistors and asociated parts, used this CD-43 pcb in my CD-53 coax'd mech (to R505) and it's already a bit less harsh and metallic.
Side note, the front panel with IR sensor, a feed resistor (RY11), a transistor (QF61) and a resistor (RF61) are needed to make the RC work on a CD-43 PCB.

Don't - he'd give every power pin in the player it's own 100VA toroid with S-reg given the room!
You know me too well

Hi,
sorry to jump in when this thread seems to have come such a long way but I am a novice looking to install an external clock (rockclock) and external psu.
I have generic instructions but can anyone give some more specific instruction on the cd63 mkII ki sig? What do I physically need to do to the existing clock set-up and where exactly do I take the power supply for the psu from. Pictures would be very useful!
thanks
