Mar-Kel70 in Sweden

With this stuff you'd need ~20-25mm on every inside panel (don't obscure the vent inputs)... but it seems pretty expensive at the site ($15 CAD for a small chunk), you can probably get 5x as much of the same stuff for a 3rd that cost at a fabric/craft store

Okay. I will try to look up some other places then. But there aren't much shops like that around here. As i said before, Ikea is all we swedes need 🙂

Ikea might well sell it (not on their Canadian web site). Also check out quilting places. It is the stuff in the middle.

You are looking for something like this: Polyester Quilt Batting

The heavy density stuff is about the same... 50x36" = 127 x 91 cm for $6

BTW: from the car site this stuff looks similar to what we'd use -- might be denser thou

Well.. Since i live in a little town with no stores at all i gotta wait until next time i go to Sundsvall (it's a bigger town like 100km from here). My dad works there but haven't got time to go check any stores. I should be able to find something though. Should i get as high density as possible or what?

Yes, as high a desity as possible...

Now that i know where to look, some info from the 1st 10 search pages off google (shops with textiles)... you might want to get on the phone (or email) and do some pre-trip research

Växthuset Kusten — Blomsteraffären vid Kusten!
Golvläggning parkettgolv och tarkett samt golvrenovering (this one might have some of the wool/cotton felt)

Thanks Dave!
I found this: Ohlssons Tyger - - Hobby Fritid - Kuddstopp
I've e-mailed them asking about the density. If it's okay i think i can make my dad go get some. It's not that very far from his job.

And when i think... I have blocked the vents almost completely with my current damping. Well, then i can expect it to get MUCH better when i get it done properly 😀

Should i glue it to the inside walls or the speaker? Or should i use tape?

I'm planning to order a Reckhorn S-1 from CSS since it's cheaper than buying in sweden (s-1+shipping is cheaper than just s-1 here in sweden) and maybe i should buy some speaker dampening material aswell? Do they have anything that would be good?

Dave, you have an e-mail.

I still find it really incredible how the S-1 including shipping from canada is cheaper than just buying the s-1 here in sweden excluding shipping. Good deal for me i think, especially if i can get some Ultratouch without raising the shipping too much.

Young chap, re. prices...compare Swedish tax to Canadian tax. (Well, compare Swedish tax to whatever you want, you make me feel like sending you a slice of bread)

For non€uropeans - their VAT is ~like ours, but income tax if you earn more than a Dollar a day...no.

If Swedes are as cruel as Germans you´ll pay VAT (known as Viciously Added Tax) on the goods, the shipping and the import tax. Grovel and be friendly when talking with THE MAN - if it´s not too expensive he might file it as "parts" instead of "luxury" and it´s tax free.😉

Haha 😉
I asked him about the VAT actually. So you mean i should pay it on both shipping and the s-1? :O
