Making panel holes for XLR

My beloved interface back , everything but no XLR 🤣 🤣 🤣 Actually it has 2 mic XLR inputs at front panel. Because of this I have several TRS- XLR cables, but now going to new standard.... need new wall to hang them all, its big enough mess in my cave already

This is my "new favorite tool" for squaring out the round hole, which I think is the essential 'difficult part' of making the port.
M12 Belt Sander
The minimum diameter of the pre-formed round hole is around 13mm, from memory. Then slide the sanding belt inside, level and
square the tool, and carefully nick the corners. It is helpful to scribe a pattern line on the material, first; as size is maintained
by hand.

Its much quicker than the same job done on a manual milling machine, which I already have. It has a variable speed trigger, essential for doing aluminum. And gobs of low end torque.
