you can use upto 50-0 VAC per lt4320 bridge MAX.
My plan was to use 50 VAC, (rectified to ~70VDC), but that is the max VDC rating, 9v to 72v being it's "operating voltage".
I was wondering how safe it would be operating at the edge of the recommend voltage, but I noticed the data sheet shows OutP to be Absolute max rating of 80v.
Would that be to account for using at the limit of 50 VAC and still having a margin of safety?
Which would be a better THT Mosfet for 50VAC or 70VDC,
CSD19531KCS
or
CSD19503KCS
?
I am thinking the first one is the better one, or any other suggestions?

Does the VA of the transformer factor into the choice of MOSFET?
If so, I am using a 500va double secondary 50V.
yes first one is better as it is higher voltage device.Which would be a better THT Mosfet for 50VAC or 70VDC,

I think VA doesnt matter as the downstream Cap bank. tvicol had mentioned about diode current capacity of 10A or more depending on capacitor size.Does the VA of the transformer factor into the choice of MOSFET?

Populated boards. 🙂
This may be a silly question, but what is "In-GND" and how does that compare to "GND?" Is it signal ground vs chassis ground?
If so, I'm wondering if it's advisable to use attach it, or just leave it disconnected?
Hi.
I am very interested in boards for this rectifier.
Are GB boards still available?
Are the Gerber files available?
I saw that there are boards at PCBWay. However, these seem to be designed for the LT4320 chip in the SMD version - unfortunately that should exceed my soldering skills.

I'm also very interested and have seen boards on PCB way too, designed/uploaded by someone from Ukraine.Hi.

My other query is how to add a 'soft start' such that the bridge ramps up to full voltage over a period of, say, 5 seconds (maybe determined by extenrnal resistor/capacitor) to minimise turn-on stress for downstream components?
TH boards would be nice, even on PCBway. The SMD boards are SIP only so no mounting provisions.
Hello Guys,
There is a temporary hiccup in the postal system of India and hence I am not able to ship out boards for now.
Meanwhile, those who want to get gerbers for PCB production, may please send me a private message.
I will send out messages to Niels, mission720 and fire animal.

5 seconds is very long. Why not use a CL-60 inline with AC like done for many of the pass labs PSU?I'm also very interested and have seen boards on PCB way too, designed/uploaded by someone from Ukraine.

Another option to use a dedicated soft start like Diyaudiostore soft start boards..
I'm going to be placing a PCB order for the CRC PSU and THT Bridge, after speaking to prasi I can make some extra boards available for whoever is interested in North America. Let me know within the next few days.
I am interested but from Germany.
If that is not a problem because of shipping, I would take at least 6 boards (rectifier THT).
Unfortunately I can't start a conversation in the forum yet, so I have to communicate in the thread at the moment.

Dear all,
everyday same questions: is CSD19531KCS a good choice?
is the only one i found from farnell
Thank you in advance

I will order some rectifier THT in the next days. Im from EU so the normal shipping will be around 2 euro to Germany. If you are interested i can send it to you.I am interested but from Germany.

Hello a007udio.
Thank you for the offer.
Do you have a limited number of circuit boards?
Otherwise I would take 10.
Do you already have the necessary components or should we order them together? Could possibly have advantages in price. You are welcome to write me a PM, unfortunately I can't start the conservation yet.
Incidentally, I have now also found the Gerber files in the thread. Many thanks to Prasi for that.
