dude, i thought we already talked about how Lowes and Home Depot don't have them.
at least that's what the sales clerks say. (i often find stuff myself after they said they don't have something)
you have to go to an electrical contractor supply place.
look up Hughes Electric in the phone book, i think it's a chain, but don't know about in your state.

you don't need an E39 socket, an E39 bulb will fit an E40 (standard screw mogul socket) that you should be able to find at your local electrical contractor supply.

really?
i thought the only difference is depth of the screw in base.....
the box says my socket is rated for up to 1500W-600 Volts and AC/CA
whatever that means.
i'm going to keep a fire extinquisher ready at all times anyways since i saw how face MDF burns when the bulb touches it... .
plus i'll leave it unplugged when not in use.
the slight difference in the screw in size is probably because the ushio's are made in germany.
most the other lamps that people use in the U.S. are made in the U.S. so they fit the E40.
but i'm just guessing as i'm new to all this.

ok i fixed my email thing now i think. nice site are you going to be useing the ohp for your pj or are you going to build a new box?
Me?
i'm building a box.
i got all the parts i need except reflector.
i pre-ordered the quiche reflector that Guy told us about but they want 25 dollars just to ship a 12 cm quiche mold.
i told them to go screw themselves, as i've bought numerous parts for my antique british motorcycle from canada and never paid anything near that price for shipping.
so i canceled my order. i think Guy said you only gain 22 percent more light using the reflector so i think my 400 w ushio will be bright enough.

well right now im useing the OHP and the ohp panel just for a start i had a vg150 lcd stripped and working good ontop of the OHP but my cats jumped on it and broke it soooo i was screwed and figured id to the panel thing untill i find another lcd for cheap
i went with the panel for now because it was easy .. fast and had rca inputs for the xbox that and i got it on ebay for 120 shipped
plus it was brand new in the box and in plastic apparently never used the only down fall is the resolution and the fact that the OHP isnt brightenough and has alot of light leakage problems .... that and its really big and ugly lol
