did you read my post saying you only bought a control for that surround sound?
I could be wrong, case i just noticed the shipping says 39.95. so maybe it is the whole thing, but under description it says (remote Control) in parentheses. so i'm not sure. man, if it really is onl the remote AND they are charging 39.95 for shipping, then it's truly a freaking scam to me, they are misleading on purpose.
but they didn't say remote control in the main listing, so i think that's an ebay violation.
if you are persistent, you can get your money back if you already paid.
i ****ing hate scammers like that. report it right away, and start your case.

the box says my socket is rated for up to 1500W-600 Volts and AC/CA
That's the problem.
The ignition pulse is a matter of a few kV, and the socket should be rated to accomodate this. Personally, I'd be sure to obtain a socket correctly designed for the voltage and temperature encountered in this application - surely worth doing properly for the sake of shopping around a little.
i didnt get scammed iv had the system about 4 months i bot it for my first pj i was just showing v1 what i was useing its a compleat 6 speeker system with remote it was new and works great.
yeah, I just got all the stuff for my blub a week or so ago, and started the box on Friday.

1. I have my 120v wire connected to black in the outlet, and the one common to the white.
There was an extra common but i just placed a wire nut on it.
I also put nuts on all the extra volt wires (seperate).
2.The capacitor: I connect one cap wire from the ballast to one side the of capacitor.
The other cap wire I connect to the other side of the capacitor. Thats it.
3.Ignitor?? (CD14): The red wire coming from the ignitor is plugged into the the red of the ballast.
The blue is connected to the blue of the ballast. The white is connected to the Common wire of the outlet
along with the ballast common.
4. Mogul Socket: The hot is connected to the red ballast and red ignitor. The common is connected to the same ballast
and ignitor common.
if you need me to i can draw a pic to help lemme know

AWESOME
AWESOME, that's just what I needed to see!
Right now I'm in a little perdicement, what would I do if I wanted to wire that up using a switch?
The Switch I have has Power, Load, and Ground Pins in the back, Any Ideas?
Btw, that drawing was PERFECT, it made me feel so much better!

im not sure about switches i dont have one only switch im using is light switch (on,off). cool im glad my artistic abilitys are good for something. it makes it 100X easyer to connect it all up
Yeah thanks so much skull! it made it so much nicer! I'm still afraid to plug it in w/out a switch for some reason though, I'm anxious to fire it up!
Does anyone know how to wire a the switch that i was talking about?

There's the switch 🙂

that looks like the same as a reg togel switch. i could be wrong but it looks to me you would run your 120v to the power then a wire from load to the wall outlet and a ground from wall to ground
So the Ground would be the White on the Diagram, and the Power the Black?
BTW you cleared SOOOO Much up for me! thank you! Its alot easier to understand w/ that diagram!
It doesn't appear to hard to add fans or anything w/ that!

no the ground would be the round hole on the wall. the white on the ballast is the com or nutral. there is no ground on the ballast.
Awesome! That totally makes sense to me! I'll fire it up when I get home from work this afternoon! Woohoo! Thank you!
arg, tried it three seprate times, I couldnt even get the switch to turn on, I'm positive I wired that stuff right and the switch is brand new, any suggestions?
LoL the light Mogul was set to off 🙁
I wired it w/ a standard cable, and it worked fine, At first it was a little dim, but it kept getting brighter and brighter, Holy Crap it was so bright!
