My suggestion for # 10 is the all-encompasing "cusswords" said with an appropriate amount of spew and vehemence. The novelty of such is an added benefit.
I've got to use the "A" word. I assume a SASE would be acceptable. I'm surprised it wasn't a request on your part.
...and thank you

PS: I need your address to mail it...

Patience folks, patience.
How does that look Grey😀 😀 Sorry couldnt help it😉 BUT, you better take a sensible line, dont you think🙂 Just meant as an advice🙂 🙂 Cut all the talk, and let them Jfets, come our way😎 I had another word in mind for "talk"😀 😀Keep the questions and comments coming, folks.
Steen😎
If we're sending checks, how about a SASE to go along with it?
You just drop your padded envelope with postage into a
Tyvec envelope and you're set. (Office Depot item #434993)

Thank You Grey... Re: Patience, Are we going at all by the original list or do you want my order now or are you giving us your address so we may send $$$... I don't want to be late and miss out...
Yout price break above 20 Qtys isn't as good as I would like but, I'm in for 70 Pcs. The money is ready to go... Just say when...😀 😀 😀
Ho Ho Ho

There is no "too late" to this; no cutoff date. I will try to accomodate all buyers. The original Wiki was fine, but my vision of this is more as though you were dealing with Mouser or Digikey. You want product. They've got product. You decide whether it's worth it to you and how many. Then you order. It's that simple.
Hopefully.
The one caveat is that this isn't really a business. I'm going to buy a fair number of devices...but...once I start getting low, I'll take a look at how things are going and what the potential is for more and decide whether to go in for another round. It will depend on how close Lovoltech is to getting a "real" distributor and a host of other factors.
Trust me, this wasn't on my life-list of things to do, but the group buy appeared to be fracturing under its own weight (no, I'm not saying that grataku or moe29 did anything wrong in any way whatsoever, just that it was getting a little crazy--it would help if Lovoltech's initial quantities were somewhat smaller, but they aren't and that's just the way things are) and this seemed to me to be a way to get the thing under control so as to get devices into our sweaty, greedy little hands.
Gentlemen, start your meters...
What?
Oh, excuse me...were there any other comments/questions?
We have the whole weekend to talk about this. The absolute soonest I can do anything is Monday anyway, so fire away.
Grey
P.S.: I will try to sync up with Nelson on this matching thing; see what he has in mind for his projects. No guarantees, except that if I do this, I'll charge you a bloody arm and three legs (think about it) for pre-selected devices.
Harrumph!
Bah, humbug!
Grumble, grumble...
Don't count on it.
More grumbles...
Hopefully.

I'd be down for 40, would even pay more for matched prior to shipment like NP suggested. No biggie if not.
OK
I will be selling th jfets in europe. I will set the price once i have got the chips in my hands. If I get charged a load of vat I will have to pass that on. I will be making a little on this deal but not loads. lets wait and see what happens but dont worry. i will set up some a shop front using some payment method yet to be decided. I wont be here from the 23rd till the 29th so please be patient.
speak soon

Grey,
I'll be in for 20 pieces, and patiently wait for your message for us to send the orders and money your way. Thanks again for picking up the ball on this one.
Todd.

Hi dhole, i'm in for 20 pieces!!!
Please let me know anything, use e-mail if it helps!
Thank you very, very much!

Hello
Please dont post up any requests. I wont remember . Once I get the devices I will advertise them. Until then I wont make it a priority to respond to emails sent directly to me. But encouragement is welcome !

The transistor selection process for the circuits we're dealing
with in the near term dictates some of the power resistor values
for optimizing the performance, so it's nice to have that
information. So far all are usable parts with similar end
performance.
To satisfy possibly psychological need for symmetry between
channels, I think the average builder will probably want matched
left/right devices.

Nelson how youre doing buddy, i ve been and seen the F3 at
6moons, it looked as if it was made of great mastery, job well
done buddy.

I believe it would have been sufficient to say,"Hail, fellow, well met," and let it go at that.
Like Nelson with the F3, I had a circuit idea simmering on the back burner--all MOSFET. The idea adapts readily enough to the use of power JFETs. Another idea looks good on paper, and preliminary fiddling shows promise. It's premature to count on that one, though. Predictably enough, my circuits are somewhat larger than the average ~10W Zen, since I lack the high efficiency speakers that currently hold Nelson's fancy. (Yes, the Mini-A was around 10W, but that was a stepping stone to the Aleph-X, which was scalable.) At some point, I imagine Nelson will turn his attention back to larger amps. I'm still there, never having left. Perhaps someday I'll find myself drawn to high efficiency speakers, but it hasn't happened yet.

"At some point, I imagine Nelson will turn his attention back to larger amps. "
Grey what are you trying to say that Nelson doesnt know what
he's doing right now
"Perhaps someday I'll find myself drawn to high efficiency speakers, but it hasn't happened yet."
Grey why dont you increase the power output to compensate
"my circuits are somewhat larger than the average ~10W Zen,"
then you wouldnt need to increase output power with high efficiency speakers unless ofcourse you'd like your music big
but less precise?
Grey why dont you show us your idea that looks promising on
paper maybe we could help with implementing suggestions, you
have nothing to lose we are all friends here, we help each other
out
nice talking to you
greetings

seems that you didn't show us anything which deserves that lines in your sig.........or I'm wrong?
gray is sorta oldtimer here, just for your information....
Paul,
Would you be kind enough to pass me my cane?
Golly! Increase power to compensate for less efficiency in the speakers? (sound of me smacking myself in the forehead) Holy smokes! Why didn't I think of that?
Honestly, I'm not quite sure what to make of posts like that. Either it's exactly what it appears to be or it's meant as a joke. We've had people here who would do that kind of thing thinking it was funny.
Regardless...I've got a few ideas that haven't even made it as far as the scratch paper stage. Running on past percentages, I imagine that about 50-75% will work, sorta, but not be remarkable. Of the ones that work, perhaps one in five will still look interesting to me after the bugs are worked out.
Jeez, gimme a break, I just built a modified version of a circuit published by a Big Name (no, not Nelson, John Curl, or Charles Hansen) and the blasted thing didn't work. Output slapped the positive rail and stuck there. Come to find out after three days of scratching my head that it wasn't my modifications that made it not work--there was a flaw in the original design, at least as published. (I was ready and willing to fall on my sword, but I just couldn't see how what I did would screw the thing up. I feel better now that I'm off the hook.) Ah, well, good practice for me. Given how careful the gentleman in question usually is, my primary scenario is that it was a publishing error, not his. My second scenario is that he simulated it, but did not actually build a physical circuit. To which I say (predictably), "Harrumph!"
Once the dust settles from that, I'll get back to messing with the power JFET circuits.
After I tuck away some Christmas goodies, that is.
