Okay, for some reason (we all know it's just normal human nature) people are falling out of the sky ordering parts now that I'm saying that we're near the end of the line.

I suppose I should have anticipated this, but I didn't. I've had e-mails from individuals who have orders in-process wanting to retroactively increase the number of devices they've ordered. Their logic, it seems, is that they got in line ahead of other people (true), so they should be able to increase their orders even if it means denying parts to other people who already have legitimate orders (false). All such requests are being treated as though they are new orders; they are on hold until the dust settles.
To anyone else who might be thinking that they want to increase a pre-existing order, the answer is NO.
At this time jameshillj is the last person to have gotten "in line" and I'm not even sure I'm going to be able to fill his entire order.
I have individual orders in hand that have paid (but whose checks have not cleared yet) and I have a small number of orders who have not paid yet. If someone's check bounces, those parts will become available. (Check your bank balance, fellas, let's not have any last minute trouble.) If I do not receive payment from the last few stragglers, those devices will become available.
People who have not yet paid have until next Friday (October 5th) to get payment to me. If I haven't seen payment from you by then, your parts will be released to fill other orders. Given that all current individual orders are from here in the US, that should be ample time for the USPS to get a letter here, especially since the last valid individual order is already several days old.

The group buy for NZ, Aus, SE Asia is now closed, at a total order of 186 devices.
I was hoping for 20 spares but as supply is limited, I doubt that there will be any spares available.
In fact, we may be lucky to receive the full order at all.
We will just have to see how many devices Grey has left.

The last time I calculated, I had 162 devices available. I'm at work and quoting from memory, so don't shoot me if I've mis-remembered.That's subject to change--possibly even upwards, as per above posts.
At this point, I think the thing to do is to sit tight until the checks clear (or not, as the case may be) and see how many are actually available. Again from memory, as of today's mail delivery I believe I have one person who has not gotten payment to me. Don't get excited, it's not a large order, but every JFET counts right now.

I promised numerous times that I would post in this thread when I ran out of parts. Now that I post that I'm basically out (still waiting for one or two individuals' checks to clear, then all remaining stock flies off in search of koalas and kangaroos...and shiraz) and people still ask if I have parts.
Ya just can't win.
So I'll try again:
AT THIS TIME ALL STOCK IS COMMITTED. WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO, I WILL HAVE A FINAL TALLY OF PARTS GOING TO AUSTRALIA. ONCE THOSE PARTS GO OUT THE DOOR I AM DONE WITH THIS GROUP BUY.
WHETHER I DECIDE TO SPRING FOR ANOTHER ROUND OF PARTS REMAINS TO BE SEEN, BUT IT WON'T BE ANYTIME IN THE NEXT WEEK, MONTH, OR EVEN BY THE END OF THIS YEAR AT THE RATE THINGS ARE GOING. QUITE POSSIBLY NEVER.

I'm a scratch build amplifier junkie that is simply late to the party. If you have any stock available at some point I could use between quantity 2 and 8 LU1014D's, depending on availability.
