Quest for LU1014D
I'm still working on it... it still looks good, it's just taking longer than I expected,
Dave
(I'm also working on some Toshiba SK389's, 109's, and some IRFP040's... as well as a whole bunch of passives and other stuff)

I just received a few of the Lu1014D from Xaudiox. At the present
time I don't have a 3v power supply like is discussed in the Z9
article but I did a few crude test of my own. Using a 26v battery
and a 8ohm resistor in seriese with the drain I connected a .5 ohm resistor from source to ground and grounded the gate.
When I did this I measured 3.98v at the drain and 1.158v across
the source resistor or 2.32A
When I repeated this test with a the LU1014d that I had bought
earlier from GRollins. This time I had 3.65v at the drain and 1.185v
across the source resistor or 2.38A so I am satisfied these are
the real thing!
The ones from Grollins and Xaudiox do come from different production lots and there is a small difference the pins being about 3mm longer in the ones from Xaudiox.
