The G6 is cheap and will cope with a smaller box better, but the Z0 has the potential for deeper bass with a larger box. I think the G6 would be good to use with a high-Q high-pass filter to achieve slightly extended response. I'm still a bit concerned about the poor Xmax of this driver though.
edit: Closed box size is dependent on Vas but also on Qts. If the G6 and Z0 Vas were identical, the Z0 would still require a larger box for the same Qtc.
deeper bass is not an issue for me, accuracy is MUCH more important. The Xmax's are 2.5 (G6)and 2.6 (Z0)so not much to choose between them really. Not much variation on the Qts either. I did think the G6 could score here also, the Qts is slightly lower so it could possibly take an even smaller box b4 the system Q gets out of hand.
of course, for the REALLY loud boys, 2x G6 would appear to compare well in price to 1xZ0, and also give 100w power handling as opposed to 70w (1xZ0)!!

Box volume is ideal for sealed loading.
Reality says the bass extension is all you'll get at 90dB/W.
🙂 sreten.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
The AP210G6 and the AP210Z0 are now £10 and £15 respectivly, so I am going to order a pair of AP210G6 when I have £10 worth of other stuff to buy, so I get free postage. Thanks to Mark25 for the tipoff.
