Looking for tube sound goodness without tube hassle

I agree that guitar strings are rich in harmonics, especially 5th and 6th strings --- not only on strings but also on guitar, pick, pick angle and attack etc as you say. - you can see it on the scope -

However I made a box with strong second harmonic and may friend's tele sounded much better. I made a box for him and he still raves about it.

My Guild T50 does not need anything added but the Les Paul definitely does

Agree -- filtering important --for pre filtering cut bass and treble

When I want tube sound, I play records from the 1960s and early 1970s. This is authentic tube sound, reproduced spectacularly through my solid-state amplifier. :)
