Lampucera

That opamp socket you linked is of low quality. I would use only gold plated socket.
Btw, original lampucera, which op starter originally wanted to purchase, see post #4, comes with high quality gold plated socket already. There is absolitely nothing to be done, just roll the opamps, listen, measure if you have that option, and most importantly have fun.
I stopped following this thread, but i think thread starter is overthing it. I am out.

never had issues with that socket... my socket in lampucera was not gold, and was cheaper, it damaged all the opamps pins.

round socket will damage pins, you need probably a special opamp removing tool and inserting tool , a slight unequal pressure and you damage pins.

For sure the person doesn't understand much and was naively impressed by lampizator site. But it is a start right?

Yes I have been over thinking it but also I have only just been able to pay for it which I am about to do 🙂.

It's a definite good start 🙂. I started with modifying a point to point tube amp which I sold and then two pairs of speakers and about to start a third pair and when it comes a dac maybe a amp after that 🙂 but I am concentrating on my new speakers and the dac first 🙂.

My diy Lampucera kit is working I took it to a audio and light's shop about a 2 minute walk from my house and a Guy did it for free I was willing to pay he said bring some biscuits in 🙂. I did what I could do which involved also Praying 🙂 and now it's working Praise God 🙂. I plan to change the opamp and experiment with the tube buffer at some point but I will be seeing how it sounds compared to my SMSL sanskrit 10th mk3 dac how the lampucera it is at the moment. I imagine there will be a little burn in time before I can fully assess if this diy lampucera dac at the moment sounds better.
