I am not sure, I had two tda1541 dac, but the chinese kit was defective, the other was a japanese CD player which could be used as a dac also, but the sound was extremely easy to listen to and fluid.
It is very easy on the ear the tda1541, and has fluidity that other dac don't have. I find the akm more involving and it is as smooth.
You have to try them all, but I strongly suggest tda1541, the AKM and the Lampucera to give you a good idea then you can find a more serious dac. the Chinese stuff is an introduction that doesn't break the bank and you can always keep it!

I wonder what this pre built one is like

The problem is finding a TDA chip, 15 years ago I sold mine 200$, then two more 80 and 50 $ for R1 versions...
They are probably fake and has some other dac inside.
I still have a R1 Tda1541 I modified unfortunately with the capacitor mod on some legs.
You need a good re-clocking tda1541 4x OS, and the output stage is crucial, it is mind breaking, I built two or 3 with regulated supply and never reach a good sound, I knew I could do better than the resistor I/V, but I lack the skills to design it...
The current needs to go to a buffer which can then voltage drive.
These dacs don't include the tda1541 or fake. So maybe the WM8741 is a better alternative.

The AK and Cirrus logic are very easy to implement so the chinese ones are going to be OK.
But for more serious WM or Tda, I would not trust the cheap dacs.

Another board, this one is said to work for 2 hours before shipping it.

Idk which one I would like the most, in terms of cartridges I prefer to all in order of preference:
Ortofon 2mBronze
VM760SLC
XX-2A
Dynavector DRT XV-1t
So I like a highly involving sound, dynamic with tons of separation and soundstage. I like information overflow!!! and the dynavector is just amazing at that, it is on my list of things, but I like so much my dac that I don't miss it, there is so much distortion in vinyl sometimes I feel I should get rid of the setup but it is always FUN to listen to it, despite the distortion and limitations it is so interesting and so detailed at the same time,

Is it possible to connect a earc connection board to a Lampucera 🙂. Our tv's audio output is earc it doesn't have optical. I have a earc adapter which I use to go from earc to optical but I am wondering if there is anyway of connecting straight to my dac.
The sound coming out from our new tv a Sky glass gen 2 through earc through a converter and through a optical cable to my dac is harder sounding especially with speech it makes we want to turn the volume down more. I don't know if that's to do with the tv or earc cable or the converter. The TV has 7 speakers built into it and sounds softer.
That is beyond my interest, our TV sound is usually pretty bad, so I have no desire to deal with it. Just stereo, music and that's it. I practically don't watch movies, very rarely. The TV serves me mainly as a monitor for a music PC.
I don't just listen to my tv through my dac 🙂. I like to listen to music through my cd player that I use as a cd transport and I like to listen to youtube through my smart tv and normal tv programmes. I have some money coming around the 9th of march which I will be using some of it for the dac. This year I am starting to upgrade my hifi a bit at a time starting with my speakers and dac first and some room treatment and then going from there. I have bought some Lii audio F6's to use in open baffle. I maybe to start with having part open baffle and the bass from some Dayton audio driver's I already have in my diy floor standers and putting them in enclosed boxes and my Dayton audio soft dome tweeters for the high frequency's if needed.
On the Lampucera what capacitors etc can be upgraded what values are they. I won't be doing that straight away when I get a Lampucera but I like to think ahead 🙂.
Don't change any caps for 'illusion' of upgrading. The hifico*** is a ripco. It is the easiest way to make yourself poor and someone else richer.
It is easy to spend a fortune on a few wires and have nothing in between. What is important is your components circuitry and design. Not the color of the 'mags'.
for the last time you will break the PCB connections if you unsolder capacitors, only attempt for the OPAMP to install a 'prong' socket so you can roll opamps.
Change the output RCA but be carefull, you can extend the heat sink , one of them heats a lot.

Can you send me a link to a prog socket I haven't heard of one of them. Other people have said they have upgraded things like capacitors etc where do they get their boards from.
