Hello Everyone how are you. I am thinking of buying a Lampucera diy kit and the one I have seen has optical and coaxial input's. We had a new tv on saturday the sky glass gen 2 and it only has a earc output from what I can see. Is there a board I can connect to a Lampucera dac.
What sized case do I need if I am going to modify a lampucera with bigger capacitors etc and use the tube board, I assume you have to cut holes in the case for the tubes to stick out.
Those tubes do not run very hot, you can place them inside the box. Just drill some holes on top and bottom of the case for ventillation.
That cirrus logic is great sounding dac, no need for tubes. Just upgrade the output opamp to suit the sound.

I will try to see what both sounds like with just the opamp and without it and using the tubes. I will have to look in to what the characteristics of each opamp sounds like.
No - do tell us. Nothing in the usual online translators. Sounds like something with tubes (lampa)
Traditionally it meant a fat , older woman , provocatively dressed and wearing bright vulgar makeup in order to attract attention in the dives and taverns. More modern meaning is any bar fly " wall flower " dressed to kill in search of a mating partner🙂

The only problem is that the clock is not the best, but it does the job, keep it as it is, the opamp is always coloring the sound due to the implementation,
I rolled probably 10 types of opamps from AD , BB, the most expensive, and I would always go back to the ADs two of them, they sound quite 'dark'. You hear everything, all the background, bass in incredible etc.
Now I don't use it I have something else part commercial part diy.
You don't need the tubes at all just the opamp.

I never purchased the Burson because it is very expensive and I was thinking a good opamp was probably better.
