Thanks for the nice comments.
Those Dale's are indeed a fraction to big for those boards and therefore you have to bend the leads realy tight against the body of the resistor. It's not how it should be done but hé......
Coulomd, apassgear
The blue caps are Panasonic FC 1000µF/50V types from Digi-Key.
C110 & C111 are 10µF/50V Elna Silmic from a vendor in Holland.
Cheers

I think he meant the distributor of the square blue foil caps, Rifa pfr polyprops ?

Oeps, those blue caps. Not quite sure what they are to be honest. It's a 100nF/100V MKP cap. I will have a look when I get home tonight.
Cheers
Stuart,
We might be able to add those CSS boards on to the group buy boards that Al designed..... a little extra space added to at the end of each pcb isn't going to cost all that much....... we might even get them to include it with a little negotiation.
Lemme know if you want to do this......

CCS boards...
...works for me, you only need one per board, but you can probably get 3 or 4, not sure if they are useful for other projects, but there'd be a bunch extra...k-amps wants 20 or so, maybe others do too.
I didn't include mounting points on my board basically because four strands of my 22ga solid core hookup wire is stiff enough to hold it where I put it...
I'm really very lazy, so someone else taking care of the details will always be OK, they do all the work, I get some portion of the credit, excellent...

Retool charges...
Needless to say I am all for it. I might be interested in more if it allows me to insert this CCS in other non-ccs designed amps.

O.K. here I am again regarding the "blue caps".
They are branded "Ero" but apparently they also come from Vishay-Roederstein. It's an MKP 1837 type. Click the link for the datasheet.

Thanks

It looks so doesn't it😀
Fellow builders I have one more question.
In the partslist the value for R122 & R123 is "150 Ohm but can be dropped to 100 Ohm depending on the rails voltage". If I go for 37V rails can I use a 100 Ohm resistor. It's also the fact that I don't have 150 Ohm Dale's anymore. Ordering only a few of those in de States is a bit to expensive.
Regards

100 Ohm should be fine, but when you're up and running put a finger on them to make sure they don't get too hot.
100ohms is fine, but be aware...
...the current through the 'chain' (r122, q107...q108, r123) will increase from ~10ma to ~15ma...
This is not a problem for the resistors, they are still well under their dissipation limits, but the transistors (q107, q108) are going to have to deal with 50% more power...
With 37v rails, the standing dissipation will go from ~0.3W to ~0.5W, ie they will get quite a bit warmer, perhaps hot...add heatsinks if you need to...

Thanks for clarifying my point Stuart, I just re-read my answer, and it was far too concise to make any sense...🙂
Pinkmouse, Stuart thanks for the clarification. Better stick with the 150 Ohm so the transistors don't have to sweat to hard.

Ero=Roe= Roederstein.
Roederstein was bought by Vishay a few years ago.
Its like the Solen-Chateauroux talk going on.
SCR= Societe des Composants Records, in France.
They make the Chateauroux MKP's, and the Solen, and Axon C's.(with the funny X)
SCR and Solen in Canada are like Vishay and Roederstein.
Thanks for the datasheet, Gewa, wish i had those RN60d's.

Thanks GeWa, nice footprint on those blue caps.
I'm stuck with some 50 wima's 0.1/160V MKP which are quite long but they are excellent quality too. Have to use them on all my projects until they last.
Gewa, wish i had those RN60d's.
I got them from Welborne Labs. There is a small chance that I will be placing another order!

apassgear, same story here. Some months ago I bought 75 pieces of those ERO caps and now I have to use them in my projects🙂
