hi audiomachines;

do you have schemes for these amps?

konzert or maybe crell,

since these amps have been earning a lot for years now

and also they're commonly using the cheap TOSHIBAS

5200/1943.......yet could deliver some brutal chest

pounding energy.!

actually, just being curious......

thanks......

audiomachines;

such circuit from DIFF stage to VAS is very reliable !

yet if such stages are coupled with a DEEP DARLINGTON

topology output stage you'll find your self building a

nuclear bomb.......

let me guess, are 2n5551 and 2n5401 for sure are used

in the DIFF stage ?:scratch: :scratch:

gem sound is a new comer in proaudio biz I guess to be competitive they had their amp modules made in china, just like most pro audio amplifiers made today, gem sound has even their ex series amps chassis made, to look like a crown ce series except for the color

yup,

in thier site I thought they were crown CE's......hehehehe

actually I have only touch Sventa's (only touched and looked inside)....
I could see the old CA3080 if I'm not wrong,a VCA that's
used as a limiter......incorporated with an NE5532 as the input.......

are these also present in CRELLS......?

yup thats the limiter part, but i prefer optos as a limiter, some high end amplifier had this VCA ckt incorporated in the feedback section of the amps rather than on the input of the amp, hence the name IGM ( interactive gain modulation) a propriety ckt made by crest audio

all konzert k series amp has a built in limiter, IMHO nasty sounding limiters especially when hard driven into hard clipping, I use a separate outboard limiter. I could recommend a K10, but your system operator must be really careful not to push it to often to light up the clip LED, there is also something called under powering a sub which could also lead to woofer burnout. Hope this helps.

Best regards,
audiomachines
