Mike,
Did you pull Q17? Was it defective? If that controls the output relay and it is shorted, the relay should be energized all the time. Going off that thought, if the amp would sense output current prior to it wanting to, would that put it into protect mode.
My thought would be to pull Q17 and place one set of outputs in and see if it will power up. Then add more and retest startup. Not sure if having only some of the outputs in will cause an issue though.
Only thinking through what I would try.

Does the attached photo help?

Make sure you view it full size to see the components clearly. Viewing it full size will mean that only ~1/4 of it will be visible on the monitor.

I have one of these amps in my boat. It got wet last week and wouldnt come out of protection mode.

I took the cover off today and I can see visually that at least one of the IRF3205s is bad.

Also the driver marked D669 at Q100 also appears to have burnt.

The IRF3205s are easy enough to find, but what should I use for the D669 and where would be the best place to purchase it?

I figure I'll probably need some other stuff as well, but wanted to start trying to track down parts as soon as possible.

You should check the outputs before ordering parts. The 2SD669A appears to be in short supply. The KSC2690A is generally a good sub but I don't know if it's being used as a regulator or for high frequency duty so I don't know if the 2690A would be a good sub. If you can PM carampsguru, he should be able to either provide a source for the part or tell you what you should use as a sub. If this transistor has failed and actually shows signs of being burned, there may be extensive damage.

In another post, he recommended the MJE171 and MJE181 for the drivers of the 3205s. You may want to order them in case you need them.
