Ok just completed the rear panel (holes drilled via Modu shop to my hand drawn design .. many thanks)
I made some temporary cable hangers so I could connect up the rear panel speaker / mains / phono sockets etc etc.
Also will add rear earth panel connection before I box the rear up ... also as this is my 1st attempt I have already thought of some better revisions and mods for the rear panel connections, but currently I need to know that this layout works .. I know the design is validated as I have made loads of the K8011 PCB design but not like this ? fingers crossed

the only one that follows my thread .. I must be boring people .. oh well who cares
next build will be with new output transformers with KT88 (k8010) full class A 60 watts RMS mono blocks

No I don't think so but I have the impression that more and more people are content to read without giving a thumbs up or making a comment.the only one that follows my thread
For my part I really like what you do, the photos, the details, the meticulous side but without trying to shoot a fly in mid-flight, it's nice to see.
Hello
picture of fully completed valve power amp .. one more to complete, I am happy with the layout, may get some valve guards at a later date

The big push button is main power on/off
The small toggle switch is for stand by and HT delay on power up, it's a 3-position switch

It has been interesting following the odyssey, and it looks like the concept is coming together.
I was just wondering why you did not put the components on the PCB on the other side to the tube bases, and then you would have saved yourself a lot of bother with those stand-offs for the tubes? I was wondering if you would get away with a signal tube being mounted like that, with the grid resistor separated? It might have made access for maintenance a little easier too?
I suppose you would have had to have a mirror image of the copper to do that, but I wonder if you just put the tube bases on the other side if the wiring would not be that difficult to wire them 'in reverse'. For the twin triode it out to be straightforward.

Hello OldHector
Yes, very good point .. something I had been pondering about for a while
but this layout does seem to work ok
but thanks for the positive advice and feedback

Hello sambhi nick
did you have some progres in your new PCB project? did you get some sound from it?
Hope you are well .. are you still about on this site?
