Wooohoo! Nice photos, and awesome job Brian!

Those boxes don't look as well padded inside as I had imagined they would be... I'm a bit nervous about shipping them wedged into a priority mail flat-rate box. Maybe I'm overly cautious, and I hate to complicate things for you, but I'd be happy to pay more to have them double-boxed with a good 2+ inches of extra padding.

Too bad about Zaph, I'd really like to see his measurements posted along side the other drivers on his site. Hopefully he'll be back at it some time soon.

As an experienced user of the JX92, a word of caution: always protect the cones when working with these drivers - the smallest of screws can dent the delicate alloy if dropped on the cone. I recommend a circle of cardboard or similar, same diameter as the chassis, with cutouts for the mounting holes. The roll surround is convex so you won't be able to do more than hold the card lightly in place with masking tape or similar but that should be enough to prevent disasters.

The odd dint doesn't seem to harm the sound but is very annoying to see on a driver of this quality.

Good luck with the designs, chaps, and I look forward to seeing what designs appear on this thread.

Sorry for the delay, I've only contacted a few people so far, but the hold up is because I was going to measure the drivers and "match" them up before sending them out. I'm having some complications with the software used to do this, and if I can't get some results with it this weekend I will just start packing up the drivers.

adjacent serial numbers should be good enough.

That would be great except for the fact that there are no serial numbers anywhere on the box or the drivers :cannotbe:

Regardless, I'm beginning to measure them now that I've got a reasonable setup. The T/S parameters are a bit difficult to calculate accurately but even if my measurements aren't very accurate in absolute terms they should be reasonably precise.

This will be great.

I planned on building a transmission line with the pair I already have, but these will allow me to do so with no musical interuption!!

Heres a pic of my tiny bookshelfs I built last year and the system that powers them

I dont think I ever did a thread here.

They are just a tad bit bigger than the sealed enclosure Jordan recommends, I did 5.2l instead of 3l.

They are quite packed with stuffing.

I always use a sub with them (obviously) -3dB is around 90 or so, but they play the fundamentals of bass really well so everything stays centered.

I have compared them directly to $1500 ID speakers and they fare pretty well. Now with the tube-pre and mouse combo, they are incredible.

I cannot wait to try a more full range enclosure.

PS about the box, mine came from Hong Kong without too much extra packaging and arrived just fine.
