My hair is even longer now! I am saving it up for a Grateful Dead History talk that I am making in a few weeks for the SF Audio Society. After that, I might cut it, as it is just too difficult to manage! If anyone is going to RMAF, I will be there Thursday afternoon through Saturday. See you there! Sorry, I missed BA, but Jam would not go, and he would have been my ride. '-)

Here is the info from Stereophile on meeting John Curl this Saturday night.

Syncie,

Yes. Looks like a modern fighter aircraft. Performed better than any other fighters at that time. Hard to believe they were operational in the late 1950's.

But then it may have been the Soviet intent to produce enough fear to avoid either an invasion or just to bleed the western economies dry.

Still a really nice piece of advanced engineering.

Here is the latest and greatest F35 Fighter jet airplane. The wings can swing out for lower speed landings and of course the twin tail. All sorts of improvements from the higher power engines to the better avionics, but still the same basic design.

A big step up from the late 1940's F84. (Which did poorly against the first MIGs!)
