The mechanical engineering sounds wonderful, I can do without "In the audio range, capacitance and inductance of a cable changes radically as the frequency changes". 🙄
One word is missing change to "changes impedance radically..."

mildly OT but this is the most amazing attempt to couch a well known concept in mystique I have seen all week UpTone Audio USB REGEN | AudioStream
Of course it's possible that some USB DACs are designed by people not good at mixed signal design, but I would hope that is the exception!

does that count for anything?

OK where's the whoosh parrot icon as you have lost me there.

The complete screed contains more of the usual interconnect snake oil blather.
Easiest to sell to preconceived notions than reeducate people in reality. Kind of a sad statement about our industry reminds one of politicians.
I remember a CES with bare copper power cords roped off so people wouldn't touch them. Must not have lived with children or animals.

There is only one arm I have not heard sound from and that is the Basis Vector or his super arm. A very nice arm from a very bright guy.
Uh Wayne, I think you heard it in my living room recently.
😎
Oh. You mean unwanted sound.
Arms can make a difference. I used to have a Breuer arm, and it was WONDERFUL! Unfortunately, it was burned up in a firestorm, and I can never replace it, so I use a cheaper arm that is more affordable. It's OK, but I DO hear the difference.
Yes unwanted sound. Every other arm I have tried has some the Vector doesn't.
I haven't found a record it won't track. The basics are right and the details, gotta respect a man who manufactures his own belts to .0001".

@Scott - playing with ADI's Analog Discovery module, I love the Network Analyzez, already let me improve my paX amp stability big time! And for just $ 150!

How did you manage to pay Academic Price ?
Are there limitations to the full version ?

Patrick I got it in Germany, and they accepted my use of it in workshops as an academic purpose.
As far as I can see the software and hardware for all three versions is identical.

This is a good way to travel...
Hi Joel
This is a nice way to travel in Oz, this eats up the road and every Aussie recognises it. They don't make anything like it elsewhere:
Just picked this one up on Wednesday - it's been a good week. Put Elsinores in that back, will travel - down Federal Highway later this month, a place known as Canberra.
Cheers, Joe

Yes, it is part of a electro-mechanical transducer. Like any microphone or speaker, each has his own signature.Arms can make a difference.
It is fun to play with those colors for getting the ones you prefer.
As a sound engineer, I had to listen to my own work and the ones of others the most transparent way as possible, reason why I was so happy to get rid of all this junk with digital, that brought the ability to ear the exact colors that the musicians / producers / engineers had produced.
As much you enjoy very colorful pieces of gear, when you produce a record, using them as a painter use his colors, as much you need a very neutral monitoring system to can ensure the result on the master tape will be the one you listen-to during the mix sessions.

This arm/cart combo is mechanical also dead quiet and i never found limits in tracking.
