Checked their site, nothing but 8-legs on the board. I'm still using 3 legged Toshiba high hats, I must be out of date.
I'm not pulling your leg, I have not used anything but open-loop JFET diff pairs for phono for over 20yr.

Signal noise is meager, so is the overload margin.

I'm sure JC will pop a cork over such ..... 🙂

Decimal points may lessen, but not negate
the effect...........

LOL, you take Fremer's ravings seriously? Well until the next one comes around.
"while the Vitus MP-P201 Masterpiece is well engineered, there is nothing in its measured performance that would indicate why Michael Fremer was so taken by its sound quality.—John Atkinson"
The SNR was OK but the distortion spectra were the shites for SS, my open-loop circuit does better.

The Clarity MR are a good sounding cap especially in speakers. For low level the Rel RT polystyrene have my vote now if they only shrank them and made SMT versions.
Many thanks Joachim for your input. I needed that input, and it may save me months of effort, if I were inclined to go in that direction of measuring vibration sensitivity. They found the same thing in 1985(or so), in HFN.
The JC-3 does significantly better than either, and the Vendetta is 10dB better than the JC-3. Doesn't anyone know what can be done?

You probably couldn't solder them since the polystyrene would turn into a gooey mass at smd soldering temperatures, even non-rohs.
One of the early experiences, decades ago, that made it painfully obvious how laughably incompetent the vast majority of audio playback was, was playing the original Led Zeppelin I CD at decent SPLs, when my system was in good tune. A quite wondrously overwhelming creation, with a depth that seemed to extend for miles - hearing the grotesque, squashed mess that emerges from most systems makes is almost impossible to conceive that it is the same recording ...Zep "two" at 11.
CCR at 6.
Just got back from Illinois, lock the front door oh boy.
Got to set down, take a rest on the porch..

We did that no CD but LP in 1970, wall of squall and no one gave a s**t. Zero dynamic range and the louder the better.
Well, it might be worth taking it just a little bit seriously ... have just read the first page it sounds very familiar - not as something that somebody like Fremer might say - but as what transpires when a system snaps into correct focus. If you've never experienced such it might seem absurd, but that's the subjective impact of it happening - you just stand there, gaping at the sound, saying "I don't believe this!" ..LOL, you take Fremer's ravings seriously? Well until the next one comes around.
