I believe some are conflating VFET (SIT) with vertical MOSFET, or VMOS.![]()
Indeed, my bad.
Got another vfet amp!
1 of 1 in the world
Sound vs other vfet amps difference is very subtle.
smooth and comfort.

You need to have your amps properly restored so you can actually listen to the way they supposed to sound, otherwise you are just experiencing an old amp with nearly 50 years of aging on its last leg....No no, I just forgot to post it after arival. I am listening to it all these days.
I will guarantee you that if you like how some of these amps sound now, you would be blown away after a proper restoration. but CAUTION...(if this wasn't mentioned already): one could make a nearly 50 years old amp sound worse by replacing aged components with wrong components. Unfortunately, older designs are very sensitive to replacement components.
Any updates to this? Maybe something like this? But is it possible to mimic a V-fet? ... YES ... How?
Not according to your #52, nor #53 with smoke warning.Any updates to this? Maybe something like this?
And pretty much everything else I've seen.
Further references in #114.
I've posted a picture about this on diy a while ago, but I don't remember where...
Oh, here it is!
Elaborated on it, and a spice-sim analysis.
Suitable for J/mosfets & bjt's indifferently, three E6 range R's are sufficient to do the job.
Temperature stable, the bjt-bjt combo as well (no run off).
Not found a publisher yet, alas. ("Is it arduino?" "No, fundamentally!" "Good luck." 🙁)
