I picked up 2 of them. Arrived in about 4 weeks. Then this posting came around and I decided to get a couple more just in case. It took about the same time, maybe a little less, closer to 3 weeks. I am in California.

The laugh is on you as TDA1542 is real. It was a chip for post filtering the DAC outputs like most do with opamps. You rarely see it in the wild and while its brother TDA1541A has become a world famous star TDA1542 failed miserably.

TDA1542 is likely to be genuine as no one would bother to make a fake. I think this chip has a couple of NE5532s or the likes inside.

Sometimes the original TDA1541A S1 has been changed by the previous owner !!
Sometimes, Philips fitted a non-S1 TDA1541A.
Don't forget that the S1 were 'hand selected' and marked. Some may be tested as S1 but not marked.
