I don't know about the pants, but they could rattle all the dishes in the kitchen any time I wanted them to.
Had them hooked up to a self-built 50w/ch amplifier (which was high power for the time) and a home-brew pre-amp with a 9 band equalizer.
My neighbours hated me.... 🙂

The diagram (which looks too phoney to be a real measurement)claims to show:
A - vibration on the wall of a some kind of cabinet (likely a box of plywood junk), and
B - a woofer loosely attached to a very damped cabinet
Neither shows audibility to your ears, as the title proclaims. Anybody have that audibility data?
BTW, if your woofer is loosely attached to the cab and therefore the frame of the driver shakes all over the place as the patent claims, what kind of sound issues from that kind of unstable driver?

You gotta be careful with oak.

Being a wood sail boat owner I can tell you that salt in the ocean did a great job of preserving those ships.
I don't suppose the life expectancy of ship builders in the 18th century was very high!

That is why oak lasts longer than other woods: It contains natural fungicides/pesticides which you don't want to breath in.
Good ventilation and a dustmask is a must when working with oak.

Temeraire was the true winner of Trafalgar. It's one of those amazing tales that Nelson restrained Temeraire from leaping ahead into the battle. Nelson wanted to take the battering on the nose. But at the height of the battle, Temeraire came to the rescue. That is why we revere the Turner painting. 😀

It is a good starting point. As a neutral, I actually quite liked "Old Ironsides" aka USS Constitution, currently preserved in Boston Harbour. Actually not iron at all. But solid timber. 😀
Not many people know this, but Ozzie Donald Bradman was just about the gutsiest Cricketer of all time, But he'd never have made it to greatness without a partner. Bill Ponsford.
The story I most like about Bill Ponsford, is that he came back to the dressing room with about 80 runs to his name and about 80 bruises on the back from Larwood and Voce's disgraceful bodyline tactics. He said he'd have taken a few more bruises if he could have made a century! 😀

I have to buy 2 sheets of plywood and only need a sheet and a half so I plan on making the front baffle with 2 sheets of plywood with Decidamp between them.

As the old math textbooks used to say, "It is left to the reader..." to calculate the volume of the second sheet of plywood and would it be better to add (certainly needless*) rigidity to the front or better to have the extra cubic volume in the box?

* eyeballing some of the pix, sure looks unlikely there are many points on anybody's front panel that are unsupported more than a few inches
