Datasheet of the SICA.
Almost bought 4 new boxed units for only €150, but decided to move to larger diaphragms.
This driver is also available with Polyimide diaphragm and that's what I wanted, but these are very hard and expensive to get by seperately.
The Titanium diaphragm (2nd image) is hard suspended and somewhat simlar to Eminence PSD diaphragms.
The diaphragm of the smaller SICA driver used in the Monitor 8.12 (3rd image), looks a lot better.

definitely looks like the Ciare woofer.
Here are the pics of the speakers I listened to. Very expensive I might add with relatively affordable drivers!
Compression drivers could (also) be B&C DE250, 400, 500 or 502 in those.

Definitely the same woofer!
Wonder if the Faital HF10AK would mate well with that woofer.
The 10AK is one of my favourite comp tweeters and sounds better than the B&C DE250 and its sisters.

Funny that you mention the HF10AK, because I considered highlighting that driver yesterday, but didn't want to come across as a Faital fanboy 😉
BTW, I know and like FaitalPRO, but don't own any as of yet.
I expect the HF10AK to perform well behind a Zingali Omniray horn.

That woofer has a triple roll surround and the other Ciare I showed has an M-roll. It's very likely a Ciare woofer though.
Ciare was bought by 18Sound a couple of years ago and more recently 18Sound was bought by B&C.
Therefore the statement of the reviewer wasn't far from the truth.

I own and have used quite a few. I have several pairs of the 15PR400 40hm version and love them. Use the 2" BMS mid driver and the HF10AK in my favourite 3 way.it is the best pair of speakers I have heard. Obviously expensive to build, but worth every penny.
I think a two way as this thread started out as would be awesome with the drivers as used in the Zingali's, maybe with the better 10AK doing tweeter duty.

Well spotted!

Any Pics?
The sound is really effortless and detailed and is full range in the true sense of the word. Music sounds like the artists are performing for you in your room. any other speaker just sounds inferior!
I used the 15PR400 down to 50Hz in a sealed cab and hand over to a GR Research 12" feedback side firing sub.
Can the horn work both ways?!
Can the horn work both ways?!
Yes definitely, I have tried both. Vertically is stunning and gives a massive stage. The width does not suffer and has a very wide sweet spot. Three people sat on my couch and said the sweet spot does not very much.
This is partly due to the height and width of the speakers projection.
Yes it was inspired by the volti and uses the same drivers. Implementation is a little different though being sealed and with the active subwoofer.Looks nice! Build documented anywhere? Active? No issue with the tweeter level being that high? The build reminds me of the volti Arura speaker

No build log unfortunately, all oassive except the side firing sub.
Th height of the tweeter adds to the scale of the music being reproduced and there is no audible difference weather sitting down or standing.
