Is it possible to cover the whole spectrum, high SPL, low distortion with a 2-way?

This is the stretched jericho from Is it possible to cover the whole spectrum, high spl, low distortion with a 2-way?

I've extended the horn a little and added a round over. The green color is the original horn, teal color flares to 90deg, and the grey color continues the round over like before. In trying to reduce the model size, part of the round (grey) over got a little hex shaped and is causing some off axis roughness. The RadImp could also be improved with a larger mouth flare (more teal color).

Impressive work, as usual!

I wonder what a horn with a golden ratio expansion would look like.
Possibly similar to Joseph Crowe's Exponential Spiral horns.

There are probably only a few people on this planet who are able to generate such horns in a strictly mathematical manner.
I can think of only 3 (including you) and it wouldn't surprise me if yours turn out to be mathematically the most elegant/puristic.

Here is a golden ratio throat radial like horn with completely smooth profiles what I personally prefer. This would need an appropriate adapter in order to form the wave front to rectangular - generally not really a challenge:

This should work good in a 2-way speaker system.

This horn also beams less than the round Jericho, though the polar is not as smooth and both load low. The HvDiff is kind of the one I've been rooting for. Even if its size needs to be scaled. I agree, the round-over is working, I think it works better with some shapes than others though.

@docali - thanks. I would also prefer an elliptic, and I think the polars would be smoother with a more rounded transition between V-H.

@camplo - keep in mind some of the polar roughness is from a non ideal round over (it ended up a hex, after meshing to reduce model size). There is also the issue of determining the radius of the round over. It's still a visual add on for now. In the previous round Jericho I tried a few different radius round overs before "2b" was presented. The stretch presented some CAD problems with sweeping the roundover along the mouth perimeter and then trying to form the mouth-free space boundary.
