Iron Pumpkin(s) and other smaller vegetable animals, Tips 'n' Tricks thread

Checked everything and found a $%×=€£%%&^ short circuit in one of the xlr's, a hair thin wire.
Grounded the unsused inputs of the SE buffers.

The hum is very very quiet, one can hear it near the speakers - it will go with the donuts.

And - it sings, it sings beautiful 😍 It is unbelievable clear, detailed, with huge dynamics, great mids, crisp highs and deep and dry bass... the instruments are placed wide and deep on the stage. I'm speechless and get goosebumps:up:
Many thanks for this, Mighty ZM

No I don't believe Ol' Mighty One saying this is (some of) the best. I'm sure I wouldn't like it at all! Bah! Meh! :clown:

(TBH, this turtle pumpkin-thing looks frighteningly good)

no
0.1 is reserved for my personal use - solid core silver enameled - pulls from screen of some fancy RG45 cables - risky to put in someone else's gadget, with transport etc.

in general - something as 0.25 solid core silver enameled, have some old stock, dunno what fancy name

there is regular Kynar wire around, in that thickness

though - thin wire from VGA is OK

OK - means - for my ears and stubbornness , it is not best, but OK

though, entire package deliberately made to get wiring as short and as clean is possible

recently I even enclosed route from buffers to Turtle on pcb, so now even those routes are short and strictly vertical

all that, to minimize importance of wiring and wire itself

so - use something not too thick, and you're good

power wires - something thicker and certainly not solid core ......... I mean - even that is arranged that usual length of small Donut wires are enough to reach pcb, so sole power route is one twisted pair from pcb to rotary volume control, or 3 twisted wires in case of logic control/TFT thingie
