Heads UP! Get out of the Caboose!
Well, I just bought a low mileage Conrad Johnson ET3 Line Stage preamp. Made arrangements to ship it to the factory to get the Teflon caps and higher quality components - the ET3SE upgrade. I feel a little bit better now.
The ET3SE, like my PV9, both put out 20V... so they drive the F4 and SissySIT quite well.
Don't tell anyone, but life in the caboose ain't that bad... we got a thermostat, a toilet, all kinds of beer, chairs and tubes in the stereo. ;-) And we don't have to bother driving.
That isn't DIYI just bought a low mileage Conrad Johnson ET3 Line Stage preamp.
You have a PM...Not sure I was first to respond…but if so, I’ll take it and pass my untouched kit along to the next person in line in the list for the store price plus shipping.
Package arrived, it's a beautiful thing!
Thanks to everyone involved in making this possible and to Mr. Pass for his generosity!

That isn't DIY
Well... sort of.... I bought the plain ET.... now I will ship it to CJ to have them upgrade it.... I also want them to add a second set of main outputs and then I'll upgrade the vacuum tube.
Let me put it this way... I'm doing like an engineer... designing the components and have top notch technicians do the work. That way, I preserve ( actually add ) to the resale value of the unit.
So, I didn't get the DIY toy this time... oh well.... I bought a Lego set instead.
B-but if one wires their two secondaries in series when doing their Quasimodo measurement, isn't that the equivalent of where the snubber resides across the series secondaries in the schematic? Why wouldn't that work?and yes
foretelling that we'll see more and more of those assembled in near future, if you're happy - consider sending Pa nice bottle of Red
other Greedy Boyz (involved in getting project to masses) will get breadcrumbs
(ZM Omnipsychic)
maybe yes (and most probably not), but M. J. did his homework with Quasimodo Story and I'm not willing to repeat it ....... just to save 2 small caps and one resistor
Check posts 432 and 433.Are there any pics of the Modushop case? I tried a search but couldn't find any
Did the philips head screws which mount the Neutrik input jacks in the second picture come from Modushop, or were they sourced elsewhere? I'd like a part number if the latter, please. Same for the countersunk screws used to mount the output Neutriks and the mains power input unit.
Has anyone purchased the Takamisawa 12V relays from a seller on eBay and confirmed they are authentic?
If so, could you share a link?
