lineup, DCPreamp,
Thanks for the motivations, I know a lot has been said about HEXfets, some may not be what a builder would want to hear. 😀
But I still want to try them on an amp project soon.

I have found these mosfets

what factory is it magnatech ???

Hafler used Exicon the last few yeaars of the DH-500 production.

Hi everybody, very well discussions!!!
Anyway i want to know if somebody knows the way to replace P2 in the schematic http://users.swing.be/edwinpaij/ima...plisimpleV2.gif for a Vbe multiplier and his components,PLEASE!!!!
Cheers

Hi Marito,
your link doesn't.
You'll not get much response until you fix it. And check it next time.

Hi Gold_xyz
Semefab in Scotland manufacture the die for Semlab and Magnatec, they in turn package their devices as BUZ90xxxx series
of devices
They also supply die to Exicon who then package their own
devices, So you see they are really all the same devices.
How do I know this you ask. I am dealing with the same Semefab
and very soon we will have our own Lateral devices made to our own Specifications.
They will be marketed under the ClassD brand name and will be used in my range of amplifiers, I will also be selling these devices
separately.

.
I have downloaded some data from Exicon ( as well as from Magnatec BUZ90x )
What I found the most interesting at Exicon laterals
was some TO264 devices.
This is because, if I can avoid to parallel output devices,
I will do so.
I can not recall the specific type numbers of these TO264.
Maybe you know, The Saint?
lineup
Hi Lineup
Semelab or Magnatec are just 2 subsiduaries of the same company.
Semefab belongs to this group of company's as well
The devices that Semelab make using te TO-264 package
Are BUZ901DP for the N-channel and BUZ906DP for the
P Channel.
These devices are a dual die Lateral MOSFET rated at 200v
They also make a 250 volt device named BUZ903DP and BUZ908DP. Both of which I am using in my NX400 Synergy amplifier module.
The Dual Die Laterals are just 2 x BUZ901P devices connected in parallel with gold bonding wire on a copper alloy substrate
The Lateral MOSFETs that Exicon make are the same die and are
and have the part number ECW20N20 for the N-channel and ECW20P20 for ther P-Channel. These devices also are a Dual Die Devices
The Dual Die devices BUZ901DP if not driven correctly are actually harder to stabilize that just 2 x BUZ901Ps in parallel
Anyway I hope this explains the difference if any between these devices.

Hi,
a pair of the single die versions will get rid of the heat better than the dual die version.
Then you can use more of the SOAR due to lower Tc and/or fit a smaller heatsink.
