hello everyone,
by reason that smt ic is very common around world,I am going to make some adapter boards for myself.I wonder if anyone want them?If there are enough interest,I can make a group offer.
I am not interested in making 8 pins smt to pdip adapter, because it is easy to resolve by diyer.

here is my idea:
1,SSOP 28 pins to PDIP adapter,it is very generic(example,TI's dac chips,buffer ic).
2,QRP 48 pins expanding adapter(example,qs7785)

any comment are welcome🙂

Hi Digi01,

Was hoping for some 14pin adaptors

like the Brown Dog 050101. So I could

do a TL074 upgrade that seem to be

in lots of places such as my active

crossover. Maybe as you do work on the

project you might be able to offer a

board mix with 8pin 14pin 28pin Soic to

dip converters. Like a rescue kit for

buyers of surface mount components who

still have dip board. Just break off the ones

you need to do the job. Six of each on each board.

End user does the connecter pins.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Hi Digi01

I have just been thinking about some
other options. Adaptors for those
using OPA627s who want to use them in
a dual or quad application. So either
all surface to dip or maybe in a duo
dip to dip configuration. With bypass caps
on board for the power? Sounds good that
you have found some gold pins.

regards

P.S.
I have find this kind of pin for the adapter board.

2 SO08 -> DIL08

Place one opamp on the "component side" and the other one on the "solder side", then you will be able to decrease the pcb and make it not so wide which can be to a disadvantage. You may also choose a bit thinner pcb, like 1 mm. Remember also that you can decrease the pads for the connector in order to get more space for the opamps. Since you have plated holes you don't have to think of the pad size so much. Round 63 mils pads are OK but also down to 50 mils will work.
