Hi,
I'm the designer with PL-AD-150 from Shenzhen PILLOR, any problem or suggestion let me know, and I will answer it try my best, thanks!
Are you also the designer of the PL-DD-140W board? I have two of them, the first of which blew when fed with 24V DC, taking the attached RPi down with it.
Can you confirm that the V1.3 board is safe to be fed with 24V DC? My second board is currently running at 12V, I will try 18V next but am a bit wary of going to 24V in case it blows again.
Thanks
Yes, PL-DD-140W was designed by me. The board's recomand max voltage is 20V, over 22V will burning CH224K(absolute max voltage is 22V) maybe, and other ICs are support max 26V, so if you want put Vin 24V, you can remove CH224K(If you remove CH224K, the cost of it is that you connect the board with PD charger by Type-C connecter will remain 5V). On the other hand, I need you confirm if your board was burned CH224K or not, if the other IC was burned , so it will be the other questions. And I'm very sorry for bring to you some misguide at the board's silkscreen(26V).

Hi, is it possible to connect three modules PL-AD-150 to one SMPS? This question has been asked before but remained unanswered.
Do you mean parallel three modules at VIN & GND with one SMPS? If it is. It's OK, and I can't list any reason to explain why it can't, or you can recomand me some potential mistake or damage.

Hi Michael
Thanks for your reply. The photos below show the component that obviously burnt; I can't see any other damage. When it burnt, it also damaged the attached RPi beyond use.
I like to use laptop PSUs or 18V powertool batteries, so will not exceed 20V.

Can you advise whether the procedure defined in Section 4.5.2 of the attached document should be undertaken when using PL-DD-140W?

Does this work?
The burned IC is CH224K and I had explained the reason why it will be burned in the last reply. For this board, First you can remove the burned IC and check the 5V power supply, then check the MA12070P’s IO haven't breakdown by Rpi.At last please confirm the max voltage is 20V, if you remove the CH224K firstly, you can put 24V.
long cable
Hi Michael:
I have a question for you: with long speaker cables (5-6 meters) should I use additional output EMC filters for your amplifiers?
I want to use your amplifier modules to power my surround speakers for my home cinema.

In case you haven't seen it, here's the Infineon app note on using filters. It should answer your questions.

Thank you for the linked document. However, while looking at the module board, I noticed that there is already a simple EMC filter on it under the heatsink. And when asking the question, I meant is it sufficient according to the board designer to remove the interference emitted by the longer cables?

Hi Michael,
Thanks for posting here.
Maybe others like me don't know how these boards come to life, would you be able to explain the journey, please? I searched for Shenzhen PILLOR when I first got my boards but found nothing.
Is it a design made just for the DIY market or did it have an intended market purpose? Knowing the back story, research and development would be fascinating.
Cheers!
G.
The burned IC is CH224K and I had explained the reason why it will be burned in the last reply.
The picture shows damage to an 8pin SOIC IC which the markings look to say 'MP1593DN' - this checks out as a 3A buck regulator. The CH224K is a 10 pin package nearer to the USB input. The MP1593 has a max input voltage of 28V.
Hello Guys. I got my module with MA27070P chip. can I put an i2s signal directly on its input? I use amanero.
amanero Outputs: data, bclk,lrck,mlck, grn
ma127070 inputs: sck,ws,grn.sd0,sd1
which one where?
mute pin? eneble pint?
i didn't get any documentation for it.
can somebody help me?
thx.

this is not the rpi version. it does not have a 40pin connector
