Bit like this

I live in Bangkok. That’s weird, I went to this very BAV show and did not see this room. Maybe closed their door on lunch break? The show was housed in a bunch of hotel rooms with loud sounds bleeding into each listening rooms. With sales people also talking over each other. Was not impressed.

I came across a thread elsewhere on the SIT-A15 model. The details below are what's been shared:

[When asked about the OS device and comparisons to DEFiSIT like SissySIT]

... it turns out that unlike most of the SIT amps this is not based on the DEFiSIT principal pioneered by Nelson Pass for the First Watt SIT-3 though rather Cyclotron...

(Buyer asked Absolute Audio about the details) Watchara has said:

No need PP for SIT because you can't control each phase symmetry and very expensive to get L - R absolute inphase
I've tried with SIT-3 before
But SIT CYCLOTRON can works very well for SE-PP
It was symmetrical SE with POS a d NEG phase operating

The only Cyclotron SIT I could find info on was this here: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/sit-2sk82-circlotron-power-buffer.275329/

I mentioned the thread to Watchara:
Yes, but my cyclotron more complexity
With constant current source and bias trim.

That’smy thread. Given that only the case is similar I had no compunction purchasing this at the time as stock of the FW SIT-3 had run out and there would be no more as was made clear in all the reviews (read all I could find online). At the time there was no news of the SIT-4 so when someone suggested the Absolute Audio Labs gear I investigated and asked a few questions and then jumped at the chance to own a VFET based power amp. All the technical talk of implementation is beyond me so I’ve just copy/pasted my conversation with Watchara for the most part.

You’re right I dare say Watchara meant circlotron though hiss messaging typically has typos, grammatical errors etc. English is not his first language though on that front he’s doing better than me as English is my only language.

Branding on the front of the amp does not have First Watt branding so it’s in no way trying to copy Nelson’s amps. Just using the cases which are readily available. As for the Dutch having the same brand, I guess that only matters is the own the brand in Thailand as well. It’s obvious that they’retwo separate entities, no effort is made to replicate styling choices of the Dutch company.

Heck, here in Australia we’re currently looking at a trade deal with the EU and that involves changing the name of a whole lot of Australian made produce as it needs to be different from those produced in the EU. Same thing I guess.
