Before I forget it, there are no output capacitors at all.
What is your opinion about it, Wayne?

Eliminating caps at output is good. It is kind of a safety feature since we never know what our equipment will connect to.
I was tried improving XOno DC offset further.
I glued an alloy brick on top of the 3 IRFD9110 fets.
I thought it will be good for two reasons:
These are quite hot. (Now surface of brick is about 67 C.!)
Because of better thermal equilibrum of the differential pair.
I think it was more or less success.
It was before about 100-140 mV, (either plus and minus) and now, you will see it in the attachments.
Yellow is + out, green is - out.

Gyuri,
pardon the interruption, but we're still waiting for pictures of your traditional end-of-the-year stack of beer & wine bottles.

No beer, no wine, no spirits.
Maybe I should get used to smoking.

Been very busy since Christmas Gyuri....I haven't even seen the Xono [Its in a cupboard which I have not opened]. I have been servicing the motor on my old Lenco, making a test plinth for it and working on a new Carbon and ceramic twin pivot tone arm for the Lenco...whether it ends up as 10.5" or 12 " or 9.5 " all carbon is being decided by making a beam in each length. I will leave the Xono until I return from surgery on 16 January...
[a nasty 16 year hernia]. I also have to find a decent sounding - but not expensive - MC cartridge of normal low output. [My Kondo Audionote Io is very difficult to step-up adequately, also I don't want to burn it with experiments].
Cat has been 'off-colour'; she seems to be bad at clearing furballs and was off her food and lost about 20% weight....but she had 30% too much. She is - with vet's help - eating again and seems mush happier.
How is your finger?
Have a great 2014 Both Gyuri and everyone else.

Maybe you go to the hospital a little more than is healthy.
I will be rooting for you.
I hope your cat also will be perfectly healthy again.
I've used to go to hospital exactly once more time in the last few decades, than what I need.
And yes, that finger is not perfect.

Thanks Gyuri.
Of course if you are healthy you don't go to hospital!😀
The cat is quite happy again and wants to play a lot.
Hope your finger improves soon......it is difficult if not right..., to pick your nose in a satisfying manner! 😀

Hi everyone,
Sorry to dig this thread up. I am diying this excellent phono box to use with my home system. However, I have problem with the power supply section. Does any one know the value of parts of this section?
Thank you very much

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Thank you very much
Sorry, I don't have info for that PC board do you have. Mean, I have this pdf, you have cut this detail from.
But I don't have anything else.
Maybe, If you can describe exactly what is the problem with it, you can get some advices.

Sorry to refloat this thread. I like to read the threads related to the projects I am working.
Currently I have almost finished my Ono clone but I have a doubt about the 2SC1844 / 2SA991 replacement.
I have a good inventory of both the KSA1845 / KSA992 and the BC550C / 560C but I don't know which one to use to replace the previous ones.
Any suggestions?
I have seen that Gyuri had put pads to test different transistors so maybe he has tried some of my alternatives or has something better (and current manufacturing)
Thanks

I have used BC550/BC560.
Haven't tried anything else.
But I don't think these are the most relevant regarding sound quality.

The KSA1845 and KSA992 are just fine it is what we use now.
Thanks for your answer Gyuri. 😉
I was thinking to use the KSA1845/KSA992 because the pins are compatible while to use the BC550/560 you have to adapt them.
It slows me (that's why my question) don´t see comments on these transistors and see previous ones with the BC550 / 560. 😕😕

I hope so, I haven't done a big mistake, when I chose BC parts, what I have.
I have built it on Ralph Stens' boards, these boards accepts the BC parts without modification.
