You guys are really gonna hate this YT video

Monday Monologue: Internet Jerk of the Month Club! - YouTube
Ain't gonna watch it...
If you "hate" youtube (or anything else) nobody is forcing you to do whatever it is you "hate."
If you "hate" youtube (or anything else) nobody is forcing you to do whatever it is you "hate."
So some internet jerk makes a whole thread (On a members only channel he assumed I wouldn't see), accusing me of being a scam artist, multiple other personal attacks about my ability and intelligence, going in overdrive to ridicule me, you jump in defending him and then act shocked at how I respond? As a woman, I've spent most of my life dealing with jerks like him putting me down. It does get really old.
So then back on topic, why aren't you making videos to help people, if you want to police who does? Basically you are telling me I shouldn't be. If you are so concerned about teenager's safety, where are your warning videos? Without ANY instruction, they are gonna open up their friends guitar amp poking around and end up dead. And like it or not, "kids today" look up stuff on YouTube and Instagram.
And I couldn't honestly care less if you like my attitude.![]()
You're missing my point, you're seemingly so wrapped up in attitude.
I wasn't defending anyone, I was making a comment of what I deemed noteable.
Your arguments are weak, and from viewing your harsh comments on other threads, I maintain that you're loaded with attitude.
With that said, I've got to add you to my growing "Blocked" list, because I've got no time for this nonsense back and forth BS.

LOL you literally said:
"The trouble with hobbyists, putzers, backyard mechanics, and other non-professionals is that posting things like electronic projects on YouBoob is in a way dangerous to others."
telling me I shouldn't be making YT videos on this topic. Then get pissy, saying I put those words in your mouth. Okaaay.... Bye Felicia.

Most of the attitude I see here is yours, and a certain other member here, why are you so affronted by someone who effectively counters your arguments? Don't like others employing your very tactics in arguments against you?
Have you even watched one of the videos you deign to criticize? Why not watch a few and provide some feedback on how to make them better?
I actually have re-recorded some of my videos and/or added things based on constructive viewer feedback. If someone private messages me a suggestion, many times I use it.
Like one thing I added was a safety warning message to the start of every video, not just the ones where I was powering up the amp. I also was made aware of viewing angles, trying to include closeups and this last series, people begged me to go into extreme detail and show every step. It's one reason everything took so long is explaining/showing everything I am doing and my thought process behind everything. Where I put specific wiring and why etc.
This phono-stage build the OP is giving me a hard time about: this was a project viewers posted in the comments they wanted to see. I actually already had one, (they sound fantastic BTW) and I bought the parts and built a second one (that I don't need) just to show people how to build one. I try to provide a variety of skill level projects for people to choose from.
What we have here are people looking to ridicule me and at the same time accuse me of being a scam artist, that I'm in this for a YT paycheck. I guess they didn't notice there are no ads? And there are no ads on my website. I have to assume they are just totally ignorant what internet payments are based on. Oh shoot me for adding a place to buy a T-shirt I make $5 off of after a viewer wanted one.
The only other thing I can think of is, these folks can't imagine themselves ever doing anything that didn't personally benefit them, so they assume I must be "Making out" on this like they would need to? IDK...

Kevin, I've seen plenty of youtube videos over the years, I don't make statements from thin air or hearsay.
And my original post on here was not directed towards anyone in particular, it was simply a general observation based on what I've seen on there and what I've heard from people I know.
However, that stephe person insists that I was directing my comments at them, and used a harsh attitude towards me for some reason.
My investigation of some of stephe's other posts on other threads confirmed to me that person is defensive and unreasonable, and argumentive towards others.

So no, you haven't watched any of the videos you were responding about.

You literally responded to my post 45 minutes after I posted it...

You mean I dare to speak up when you and a few other jerks on this forum trash talk me? How dare I speak out to the Gods of DIY...
+I actually have re-recorded some of my videos and/or added things based on constructive viewer feedback. If someone private messages me a suggestion, many times I use it. ....
For what it's worth, I enjoy your videos. They are a good balance of information and flow; which is hard to find. Usually videos either flow nicely and have little info or have info and are like eating dry oatmeal.
....Even harder, say next to impossible, trying to learn a programming language that you have never used before.
A lot of people don't realize that teaching is difficult. They think just because they know something they can easily pass that knowledge on to someone else. Uncle Doug's videos are excellent but he was a teacher so he knows how to do it.
I've tried a few programming type ones and they often start out pretty good and then they just skip past the crucial stuff really fast.
....Most of the YT content makers moved away because google destroyed their business model then wonder why it's failing. ...
The content farms are taking over. They have big budgets, large staffs and put out thousands of videos a month. Even with complete crap for content people watch them and that is all that matters to youtube so they promote them.
The worst possible video's are by EEVBLOG.
He uses 1000 words where 50 would do.
He just goes on and on repeating same old stuff.
Its a shame because a lot of the content otherwise is good.
I don't know if they are the 'worst', as others have pointed out they aren't dangerous or misinformed, but I can see how they are annoying to some. He has the radio talk show host gift of turning a small topic into 3 hours.
Replacement starter motors and alternators are typically remanufactured. You must surrender your old one or else pay a core charge. Sometimes the core charge is more expensive than the remanufactured unit.
There's a shop in the city I used to go to that rebuilds starters and alternators. That's all they do. The shop is busy and the guy knows his stuff. I think he's from Afghanistan and he learned the trade in his home country.
I once took a car alternator to a guy that specialized in farm equipment ones and he balked at doing the rebuild because his labor just to open it would be more than a reman one would cost. I told him I didn't care, because I was tired of changing them every month or two and just wanted a reliable one. He bought a reman one to use as parts to fix mine and between the two there weren't enough good parts to make one; so he had to buy a 3rd reman to have enough usable parts to make one good one.
....What we have here are people looking to ridicule me ...
This thread is 4,000+ views and, what, two butt-munches being incredibly rude? Just ignore them. Illegitimi non carborundum.
I fail to see how your builds are not marketable, honestly. I simply thank haters for their interest. They only serve to draw positive attention. So no, you haven't watched any of the videos you were responding about.

I really hope that doesn't include me, PRR.
Because any of my recent posts clearly state my intentions and observations, and support my self when accused of otherwise.
The Interweb is a wonderful place. Once you've gotten to be a grumpy old know-it-all you don't have to be grumpy alone. You can find a group of equally grumpy old farts who will join you in ranting about all those idiots out there, kids these days and the evils of InstaTwit and FaceTube.
No need for a rest home, a porch, a town square. It's right here at our fingertips and global. Ain't technology marvelous?
Wait - I gotta go yell at some kids to get off my lawn!!
I heard a comedian talking about the internet say "who's idea was it to take all the idiots in the world and connect them with all the other idiots?"
Not that any of us are idiots but when you group people that are too likeminded together it can spiral pretty fast. At least in the rest home someone might have a different point of view but I'm guessing some people were like me when they saw the headline and thought "oh, I get to vent about why I hate youtube!!" And I'm not real proud of that; because I don't think we need more anger, especially right now.

Beautiful craftsmanship!
Very impressive woodworking and layered finishing!
A bit obsessive for my tastes though.

No, these are pounds of LSD, the turntable would fit perfectly on The Beatles' RR .....😉
Pound sterling - Wikipedia
Symbol
Main article: pound sign
The currency sign for the pound is £, which is usually written with a single cross-bar (as on modern banknotes exclusively since 1975).[16][17] A variation with a double cross-bar (₤) has been used intermittently with £ since the earliest banknotes of 1725 when both were used.[16] Historically, a simple capital L was used in newspapers, books and letters.[18] The symbol derives from medieval Latin documents: the black-letter "L" ({\displaystyle {\mathfrak {L}}}{\mathfrak {L}}) was the abbreviation for libra, the basic Roman unit of weight, which became an English unit of weight defined as the tower pound of sterling silver.[19][20] In the British pre-decimal (duodecimal) currency system, the term £sd (or Lsd) for pounds, shillings and pence referred to the Roman words libra, solidus, and denarius.[15]

I don't like very shiny surfaces, only for car paint, if they give it to me, I don't want it ! 😀

I am afraid they have not understood me ...
LSD was also a controversial song of the fabulous four, which many interpreted as "a hidden message" to promote lysergic acid ...
