Ni Hao YWH,
your results seem pretty good, is it with the 250w bulb?
Have you made some tests with the 400w bulb? don't you think it could be too much bright with 400W?
I plan to build a projector with a 17" lcd, and i thought than a 400w bulb would be necessary, but since your results seem bright enough, i wonder if it would be necessary...
what is your opinion?

Your're my man,its been a long time that i try to find these kind of lamp.
see my project http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33384
I have a 6 inchs spherical reflector with a cdm-t 150 watt in it,like commercial projector,i cant have more light from this lamp.I can tell you that this lamp is not enough for diy projector and the color temp is not enough either.
I bought a EPSON ELP-7000 with a 150 watt metal halide lamp, like the one you sell and they look the same,it is a 400 ansi lumens and 300/1 contrast ratio,i made a comparison test with this one and my diy and i can tell you the EPSON is 4 time brighter, even with a low 400 ansi lumens, the other difference is for the color temp, the white seems yellow with the diy.The 4200k is not enough to get a good color on the screen.
If you could find a ellipsoid reflector that can project a beam of 7 inchs at 9 inchs distance from the first frensel, put a 250 watt UHP
lamp in it,that would be a revolution for the diy projector with small display like the lilliput .
Where is 18WHEELER,his last post was 29/07/2005 a month ago.
Do you have some news from him,his site is down and nobody can order anything with PAYPAL.
tHANKS again for your great work.

yes, it is with the 250w bulb.
i have tests with the 400w bulb, too bright, but too hot, it is not good for small LCD(<8.4').
400w bulb is good for 17' LCD.but 250w is enough too. economize energy.
18WHEELER is busy with sth.i can call him if that is necessary.
i have no PAYPAL. western union is good for me.
go to postoffice, you can find western union.

Hello Ywh,
I'm from Germany, and I'm interested in an bulb for my Infocus X1, which has an 150 Watt DC SHP bulb, ( I think UHP an SHP are nearly the same???).
Is it possible to use one of your bulbs, and whats the price for it?
And how can I pay for it to china?
Hope you have the time to check this.

Hello Ywh,
Can you tell me which of your lamps i can use for a Nec Mt 1000 with the original reflector. I think that the mt 1000 takes the same lamp as Mt 810.
Thanks for all the help.
