p-vip lamp

Hi ywh

I've bought a Mitsubishi xd300u in the specs, it says it's a 200W P-vip lamp (VLT-XD300LP)

looks like a bsm-dc (rolled wire through front arm of the glass, like 8~9 turns), will be that correct? I can post some photos if you need them

But there is another problem, this projector has a protection circuit that powers off the lamp when it has a long life, and it still works if I reset the counter (it's really a crap, because the lamp it has now still has a good brightness); I suppouse it's a voltage, power or current protection so I wanted to know if the lamps you sell will pass that protection or if you know how can i avoid it

Thanks for your time

LP350

Hi YWH.

You quoted me a price a little while back for LP350 lamp only @ $80, is this still available?

Also, I think I may have found a way to make a custom & unbreakable reflector, at least for this projector, and probably others if needed. I will post pics as soon as I'm closer to a finished product. 😀
I can't send email yet either (under moderation), so I'm going to just join in some conversational threads here and get out of mod... 🙂
Thanks!

Lamp for LP500 doesn't work!

Hey ywh,

I received the lamp as promised, got it all installed, but it doesn't work. I think you might have inadvertantly shipped me a wrong/defective bulb.

To make sure the Power supply wasn't bad in the projector, I put a working bulb from another LP500 in it, and it fired up fine. Also, I tricked the cover plate switch and manually read the voltage coming out of the unit. I am reading 520-540 Volts DC.

The info on the back of the working blub reads: SHP22 JAPAN 5K

What gives?

Thanks
-Mike

LP500 Bulb not working (more)

Ywh,

More information:

In my original post, I originally had LP5000 in the subject line, but when I sent you the Paypal payment, I put in the comments that this was a typo, and that I meant I needed one for an LP500.

So, I think maybe you missed that correction. If this stupid forum would allow us to edit our posts, I could have corrected it beforehand.

You had told someone that had an LP530 that they needed a 270w BSM-dc. Is that what I need as well?

As this bulb is already cemented in place, I will have to drill it out, thus destroying it. I am willing to eat the cost if need be since this was mostly my fault.

Let me know,
Thanks,

-Mike

LP500 Bulb not working (even more)

Boy I wish we could edit in this forum...

Sorry about all the posts, but one last thing.
I managed to get the bulb out cleanly. I CAN ship it back now. Apparently the Furnace Cement I was using hadn't dried completely. I think it needs heat to cure completely, so as the bulb never lit, it never solidified completely. So, yes... the bulb is shippable. Just tell me where.

Thanks

Hi fieroboom !
the BSM-DC is not so good to replace SHP, so you can use cheaper JYS/DC only, $40 only. total is $48.
not so bright, about 60% as SHP, 500 hours [/B]

YWH, I like the price, but not the birghtness.... 😀 Is there anything close to brightness and physical size that you have which might work? I'm making a custom reflector, and I can make a custom cage if needed, so I have some 'wiggle room' if you've got some ideas or possible bulbs....
