Sony VPL-W400Q

I am so happy that I found this forum! 😀 I had been wondering to myself if I could replace the lamp in my enclosure, instead of paying about $400 for a whole new lamp and enclosure.

Now I have a question. What would I need to order to replace the lamp for a Sony VPL-W400Q projector? This lamp is the same in the Sony VPL-S500U projector as well. The part number is PKPJ-500.

The only info I have from the bulb manual is that it is a 250W Metal Halide Lamp. It doesn't say anything about arc length or anything.

Thank you for any help! I really appreciate it. I hope I can actually do this for this projector.

Excellent! Thank you so much! Now, just to be sure, all I will have to do is replace the lamp in my enclosure, correct? I won't have to change anything else?

And how do I order? I still use paypal to pay 18wheeler?

Sorry, looking back through the thread I see that there is a website I can use to order.

infocus lp350

Hi. I've looked at this thread and it seems great. Glad to find you all. I bought an InFocus LP350 but rather than coming with a broken bulb, it was totally missing.

I'd like to purchase the whole piece, but have the ability to replace only the bulb in the future, as many of you have. Can "ywh" or any of you others supply this? I'm fine with a cracked reflector if you think it'll still work.

Thanks, please let me know.

Hi ! WickeD
you need 150W JYD/AC, the price is $60, shipping is $5

Is there one of these that would be appropriate for a Sharp H37VUA?

The lamp is supposed to be 250W, which in itself shouldn't be hard to match, but I admit to not understanding the needs as far as a ballast go.

Personally, I don't care if it requires another ballast, but it does seem a shame to have the 250W ballast in the projector and not use it. I'm fine with doing a bit of DIY work to the reflector, as well.

xb31 lamp

Hi, does anyone know where I can get a lamp and housing for a hewlett packard xb31 projector?
Been given a projector but no lamp, have been told that a lamp was fitted but the pro kept shutting down after 30 secs...
I thought that resetting the timer might help.

Any Ideas?

Cheers
