I am unhappy to report that gravity is changing, it is no longer constant.

Not to mention the security dogs with sharpened teeth just waiting for me to show up..

PO and contract done for the big diode thingy, will have a design review within a week, then I just "might" hafta do a vendor visit....

For my security system, I have a shark and a (*******) laser.

Of course the shark is a steam cleaner, and the laser is in my cnc..but with some duct tape and paper clips, I can whip one up in less than 48 minutes (the non commercial part of an hour showing of Mcgyver)..

If I were to put say, 3 flash tubes around a foot long 1/2 inch diameter acrylic rod, and mount it on a two axis platform, use an infrared camera to track a warm object in the field.. When an object shows up, illuminate the assembly via led's and start a warning beeper...with a camera flashing taking pictures...bet that would be a deterrent. Oh, don't forget the laser warning sign posted by the door requiring PPE for class 1 lasers..

Sheesh, I would think twice, and I know it's fake..

If I wanted to hurt someone, I would use a nitrogen laser. Easy to build. Last time the Prof I built one for wanted to know how to test if it was working. Simple I mentioned the paint on the concrete block wall in front of it was blistering.

All the hardware is an old bandsaw blade, some transmitter caps and a krytron tube.
