ds23man is the guy who made these. 😀
I should pay better attention!
ds23man, send me a PM if you are selling those boards 🙂
What is this? Sorry but I've missed something.
That is a small standby pcb for the Hypex smps ucd ncore range.
Can be used with a momentary or latching low power switch. It controls the standby input of the smps and ampon pin of the ucd/ncore

All eleven boards I have are already sold.
If there are enough people interested, we can do a groupbuy on blank pcb's.

For me no "folklore/mythology" just listening with my own ears!
And nothing wrong with that - my reference was to the audiophiles who believe switching supplies can't sound as good as linear supplies, without actually listening (or only doing non-blind listening - something that mostly just confirms whatever you believe in).
Some amps behave better with regulated switching supplies because better regulation, some worse, because poor HF rejection and IM with the switching frequency.... audiophiles who believe switching supplies can't sound as good as linear supplies
Audiophiles love to make blind generalizations and believe in magic. So easy to associate big AC transformers and big caps with top quality. 🙂

I am open for everything! And as I have stated previously my NCore sounds really good with the SMPS.

Any more info? Price?
Nice build ds23man!
Could it be possible to extend this principle with audio input signal detection?

Thanks!
I can write you a program linking your hand with your ears!😀

Maybe I will start a groupbuy with detail, price will be cheap!

That would be really sweet!

What's wrong with pushing a button?

What's wrong with pushing a button?
Some of us have placed our equipment in places where our trousers get dusty from crawling on the floor to reach the button... 🙂
But I am not a big fan of signal-actuated switches, I prefer a dedicated control signal.

Well, yes, vacuuming a bit more often would help... But it is a hassle to get to under my speakers with the vacuum too. And before anyone suggests - I did try a roomba, but it can't handle the thresholds... 🙁

Hi ds23man,
I am in for a groupbuy. I would take 3.
