That is a somewhat valid concern - but why would you do volume scaling before the DLCP?
If you use a computer source it is very convenient to let the OS / Music player set the volume.

True. I haven't had a chance to check - does the DLCP not understand USB volume commands?

The main question will be how to make the software intelligently trade delay memory for this use and for time alignment. We know how to do it, just not whose time to do it in.
Any news on adding FIR to the Hypex DLCP? 🙂
I'm sorry, but no. 🙁Any news on adding FIR to the Hypex DLCP? 🙂

"No" as in "no news (yet)", or "no" as in "there won't be FIR on the DLCP"?
The state hasn't changed, so it's still on the wishlist. "We know how to do it, just not whose time to do it in.""No" as in "no news (yet)", or "no" as in "there won't be FIR on the DLCP"?
PS maybe he could help us: Hypex Electronics BV - Jobs

Fair enough - thanks for the clarification.

I have passed along that link to some of my friends with more solid hardware design experience than what I have.
Wow. Wonder why.DLCP now drastically reduced in price.
Price: EUR 275,00 excl. VAT
I paid EUR 550,00 for mine. 🙄
Or they have a new improved version on the horizon and want to get rid of the old ones. They found a way to produce cheaper and want to sell more items 😉
Had a mail from Hypex this day regarding the pricedrop. I think they will announce some interesting news.........
No, it will not be discontinued!😛

Stop teasing. 😉
When will they announce?
What will they announce?
We have started to manufacture the DLCP in higher volumes and we want to make this High End DSP available to more customers. So we decided to reduce the price quite serious.
All customers who recently bought the DLCP will get a refund of the price difference.
Best regards,
Jan-Peter

Just send me a second board instead of the price difference. 😉
I assume the DLCP hasn't been sold a lot when this is happening. Personally I'm wondering if this is more related to the software and perhaps also lack of FIR filters rather then the price. Seems like many have been sitting on the fence waiting for an improvement in these two areas.
I've finally received mine. It was ordered in the summer but for different reasons it hasn't been completed before now. I'll get back with a brief review after I've tested it and compared it to miniDSP 4x10HD and also maybe to Lynx Two-B as simply a D/A converter and preamp.
