I think this beast sounds amazing on headphones, best bitrate, vs anything.
6db time aligned/phase aligned pretty good (quad), but not as dynamic.

Such horns are high craftsmanship but I am always asking for what applications / for what driver? The Axi is rated from 300Hz on. So, a minimum of 160Hz range should be the lowest cut-off to use ever.

I had the chance to listen to a snail horn combo WE12a/WE13a. Really spectacular but if you watch the video just posted you immediately understand why these peace of carpets are inside the horn. You have to limit the frequency range to less than 3 octaves and maybe need to use DSP. I greatly prefer straight horns. For the Axi I would make a horn with about 250-300 Hz cut-off and would cross-over them between 500 and 800 Hz.

Application is 60Hz-900Hz with Acourate. My friend says this JMLC 42Hz (undersized mouth) that I designed is better than WE15A (high T).

I wonder what kind of max output they have under 100hz. I'm guessing around 105db @ 1m per horn at 100hz.

The speakers are an optical highlight but what we see from the data is that cut-off should be at least double of your rated 42Hz. We also do not see neither the real SPL level nor the distortion especially at LF. These drivers are rated for 300Hz up. From your data the system should be crossed over at least at 200Hz.

Be interesting to hear how they compare with say a WE12a styles and Lamar drivers?
Listening tests of this kind of gear - not so easy to accomplish.

He had a single 16A reproduction that I got to listen to - Was kinda spooky in realism. Not without its compromises, as with all things.

Just take a look at the front cover of Kolbrek/Dunker book and you immediately know where the problems of such horns are. In the historic context the top of the food chain but we have had nearly 100 years of development since then.
