FE206ESR?

Slow down there! Give us a chance! You'll generally find on this forum that people only speak when they have something constructive to say (like the answer to a question for example)...

I can confirm the 208ESigma cabinet is fundamentally a better design than the 206 box which needs considerable tweaking to provide a similar response, and provides somewhat less gain in the LF. Use birch ply over MDF if you can afford it -less energy storage, stiffer, looks better.

Scott,

Does the same hold true for the 206ESR in the 208 cabinet?

I have just prepared a cutting plan to reduce the 3 sheets 1800x900 on the Fostex site to 2, 2400 x1200 for Baltic Ply. If you would like a copy I will try and post it on here. You will need 4 sheets for a pair of speakers.

Good man. Please do. Be useful, that.

206ES-R in 208ESigma box? Should go in, no problem there, but why would you want to? The recommended 206ES-R box is a very good design, based, as far as I can see, on the Nagaoka D-57 / D-58. It's got plenty of length, and a decent mouth size. Looks good too. I'd stick with that for the ES-R.

Hopefully the 2 sheets should be attachments in this and the next post. The Scanner seemed to re-size them to mammoth propotions and I have had to shrink them, so I hope that they are clear. If anyone has any problems please let me know.

The only alteration I made (spotted the night before cutting was due to take place !) is that piece 8 was the wrong dimensions and could not be cut from sheet 2. I moved it to above piece 2 on sheet 1 (in the corner)

Sorry about the scruffy plan, but it was obviously good enough for my local timber yard as they never contacted me. Cutting took 3 hours.

Ususally drawings compresses much better as GIFs. JPG is better with photos. Try adjusting contrast/brightness/levels so the white areas gets a uniform bright white.

Greyscale with a slightly clipped white gives a nice apperance and compresses really well.

Thanks for all your replies. I had tried everything but Photobucket. I registered with them ages ago, but never used it. I have uploaded the plans, but when I try to attach them it tells me the file name is invalid. I created a shortcut to desktop to attach it and it gave me the link name and I cannot see why it does not work. *" *!! is the only polite thing I can find to say at present.

You need to insert a hyperlink. Copy the address/URL in the title bar and then paste it into your post using the "http://" button.
