filling a (slighly) oversized CC with corugated stuff like egg cartons / polyfill / profiled absorber "sponge" is equivalent to reducing its volume
I am not a big fan of stuffing a CC. If designed correctly there should be no stuffing. There sometimes tends to be a loss of dynamics when a CC is stuffed.
I could get into a long winded reason , but i may have covered that subject in the FR driver notes.

I've now completed the 1:1 scale drawing and the computations of the increased CC, fixed small glitches in the drawing etc.
For the record and easy reference I sum up the findings in a sepparate thread.
Thanks Dave, Ron and all others for contributing and helping me out.

Well I know that my speakers are not even up to spec yet,
but I am lovign them so much that I am yet to take the drivers
out and finish them. The bass is insane for such a small driver,
and I dont really feel that I need more bass.
Im toying with the idea of a IB 15", but I think it would be a waist
since I really love them even for bass dependant music.
I measured with sines and Im getting to around 40 hz with them
loaded as I have them.

Gee thats lower than my old original Dallas, are they corner loaded?. I may have to build a pair for good sounds on my trips up to SC to see my lady. But i probably would go with Daves modded driver, cuz i am of a lazy sort and lately i could screw up an anvil in a haystack. Just gettin old i guess.

Don't forget there are a pair of frugel-horn flat-paks headed to SC... parts are piling up as we speak...
dave
they are simi corner loaded. Int he pic you see that they are true wall loaded, and then there is a big pedistul next to one, and a piece of ply wood behind the sheet on the other.
So a hybrid corner loaded situation.
