Not much room for negotiation now, with parts being so rare. I am satified at least that I managed to find some. Just paid US$136.00 for the pair including air mail shipping. Not a cheap exercise by any stretch of the imagination, but curiosity got the better of me. I don't think the money was wasted.

Of course the 2SK180 works well with a lamp, but I suggest to set the lamp free:



With a bulb you will throw away >150 watts per channel to get beyond 35 watts output . .
You must know about the threads about a choke loaded L'Amp. It is more energy-effective. For the same output, the power supply can be halved.
