Sorry the pictures arrive.

I tought the ground on the cs4398 and not on the rca, that's why.

So, very clear but a lot of hum in the 2441 and the 2405. A bit of compression too and distorsion.. I used intertechnik zn cap 1.5uF and russion pio 220nF in parallel.

What's the solution to reduce the noise first ? I'll see later if I keep this solution or no.

Try hooking the grounds from the RCA outs to the ground on the board.

when I hook the rca ground on the main ground I don't have sound ?

On my amp (carver pm 1.5) I measured the ohmic value between xlr ground and earth ground : 27kohms.

The dac works when the rca ground isn't on the earth ground of it, so on the ground of the input amp's xlr.

May be shouldn't I use the earth ground on the dac ?

I tested the wm8740 and found that a added LPF is needed . so I think we can't use it by now.

I use socket for up-sampling, so you can use the module or some jumpers.

I think no problem to use other SRC chips. And there might be a DSD input and up to 8 S/PDIF inputs. so a added optical port is placed because there is still some room.

I'm still working on the program. The ouput caps will be same as the old version, so you can choose coupled ouput or directly ouput from chip.

please help! my dac will not power up and the dac heats up very hot....the led that indicates lock does not light up.....im still getting 5 volts from the regulator. i bypassed all the electrolytics on the main board and was still playing music then i put in a tube output stage then suddenly the dac will not light up...

please help.....thnks

i removed the small dac board from the main board and the main board led lights up again but when i put the small board back on the led turns off?
