Hello. I have a problem with the heybrook HB1 speakers. After connecting them to the amplifier, the tweeter does not sound, but hums. I pulled out the crossovers and checked under 1.5v and reacted. Then I replaced the capacitor with another one and only at 470uf it started to play nicely. On the other hand, when playing one of the PR speakers, touching the screws that fasten the speakers means making some crackling noises. Ground loop?

The crossover on the right includes some stranded copper wire which I don't see present on the one on the left - looks like someone has been making alterations.

Are both of your speakers giving trouble?

Have you had these speakers from new, or have you just acquired them?

I had problem with two speaker.
I buy this stuff week ago.
Form tweeter i hear only hum.
When i connect only tweeter its work but very quiet.
I was buy new capicitor and waiting for it.
In capicitor 4.7uf with resistor Come only one wire to woofer from one side. In other side its connect tohgether capicitor Wit resistor.

It's bi-wired meaning two sets of + and - input terminals.

On the tweeter side, the negative input terminal should be wired to the negative (black?) terminal on the tweeter. The positive terminal should go, first to the pair of capacitors, and then to the positive (red?) terminal on the tweeter.

On the bass driver side, the negative input terminal should go to the negative terminal on the bass driver and the positive terminal should go, first to the coil (inductor), and then to the positive terminal of the bass driver. In addition, the series combination of resistor and 4.7uF capacitor should be connected across the negative and positive terminals of the bass driver.

The above is a description of what is shown on the attached schematic.

Let us know if you find a fault in the wiring after examining it as described above.

There will be nothing wrong with these film capacitors.

The fault is obviously in the tweeters themselves.

I can't get the YouTube video to open just now, but, as fatmarley has suggested, the problem sounds like dried up magnetic fluid in the tweeters.

If you have a spare tweeter, or even a small loudspeaker driver, you can try connecting it up to the crossover in place of a Vifa tweeter. If the spare tweeter works you will know that the crossover is OK.
